Following the prior season’s major cliffhanger ending, Prime Video has officially renewed Upload for a fourth and final season.
Nearly four months after the season 2 finale, Prime Video announced that Upload season 4 is officially in development. The streamer also confirmed that the next season of the hit sci-fi comedy show will be its last, though no release date has been set for season 4 at the time of writing. Creator Greg Daniels wrote about the final season announcement in the following statement:
When I conceived Upload many years ago, I had the story arced out over four seasons, so I am thrilled to make the ending the fans deserve and the characters and creative team have been working towards. Jen Salke and Vernon Sanders have been our Angels and they deserve 5 stars.

Upload is a sci-fi comedy series from Emmy Award-winning writer Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) set in a technologically advanced future where hologram phones, 3D food printers, and automated grocery stores are the norm. Most uniquely, humans can choose to be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife. When programmer Nathan Brown finds himself inexplicably dead and his consciousness uploaded to the incredibly expensive Lakeview community by his girlfriend, he befriends his customer service rep, Nora, who believes foul play may have been involved.
