Alongside Snow White, Rachel Zegler will also appear in 2024’s Spellbound. The animated film is a musical set in a fantasy setting and will star Zegler alongside the likes of Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem. Zegler has already shown off her musical talents in the likes of West Side Story and will do so again in The Hunger Games. This makes it all the more fitting she would feature in an animated musical where she will once again get to show off her vocal range. Spellbound will be her first voice acting role in a major film since Paddington 3 is no longer on the cards.
The film will be produced by Skydance Animation and will debut on Netflix despite initially being associated with Apple TV. There are still several details that remain a mystery about the film, including an exact release date, and only limited information about the plot has been revealed. While there was a first look at the movie shown back in 2021, the delays have halted much public progress, with no trailer being released so far. Rachel Zegler’s biggest upcoming film is Snow White, which is scheduled for 2025. The movie has been in the works since 2016, and after being penciled in for 2024, Snow White was delayed alongside many others during the strike. There has been plenty of controversy surrounding Snow White‘s live-action film, with Zegler caught up in it. Despite this, it is no doubt a huge project for both her and Disney, who have continued to invest in live-action remakes of classic films. It has the potential to be the biggest movie she has been involved in, especially as she plays the lead role.
It will eclipse her role in the DC universe, where she played a major character but not the lead role and rival being the central character in her Hunger Games film. Snow White‘s remake cast features Zegler in the titular role, working with another huge name, Gal Gadot, who will play the Evil Queen. The film will be a retelling of the classic Disney film and has a $209 million budget. While Disney’s live-action remakes have been somewhat inconsistent over the years, Mark Webb as director gives the film a better chance at success after co-writing 2023’s biggest movie, Barbie. If the controversy doesn’t hurt the film, it may just be Zegler’s biggest yet.

Rachel Zegler Will Play A Leading Role in Y2K
Y2K is an upcoming A24 film dubbed a comedy and disaster movie focusing on two high schoolers crashing a party before the new millennium. While not much is known about the project, Zegler will play a prominent part in the movie and feature as one of the leading characters. Y2K is yet to be given a release window, but the project is in post-production. Jaeden Martell and Julian Dennison will play the other lead characters, with The Kid Laroi also cast for the film. Zegler’s character hasn’t been revealed yet, but the movie will allow her to emphasize her versatility, going from action films to musicals and now a comedy.
