After flying under the radar earlier this year, Jules is now a hit on Netflix. The sci-fi film follows Ben Kingsley as a man whose quiet life is upended when a UFO and its extra-terrestrial passenger crash lands in his backyard. In addition to Kingsley, the cast includes Harriet Sansom Harris, Zoë Winters, Jade Quon, and Jane Curtin. Jules was released in theaters in August 2023 and despite positive reviews from critics, it flew under the radar and only made $2 million.
Now, three months after its theatrical release, the under-the-radar sci-fi film is now a hit on Netflix. For the week of November 20-26, Jules was watched for 6.7 million hours and received 4.6 million total views. This is good enough for the fifth-place spot on the charts and marks the movie’s first week in Netflix’s Top 10.
