Ultra Instinct Goku & Beast Gohan Get the Epic Clash They Deserve in Glorious New Fanart

Dragon Ball’s Goku and Gohan are a father-son duo who are hands down two of the most powerful fighters the series has to offer, with their most recent transformations — Goku’s Ultra Instinct and Gohan’s Beast Form — pushing their power levels to unimaginable heights even for Dragon Ball standards. In a new piece of fanart, Ultra Instinct Goku and Beast Gohan are locked in a battle of skill, resulting in a gloriously epic clash that fans need to see.

Recently shared on X, this fanart was created by Kakeru (@DBSKAKERU1), a prolific Dragon Ball fan artist who is no slouch when it comes to illustrating professional-looking pieces that rival the official art seen in Dragon Ball’s various manga and anime series.

Consistently uploading artwork that adapts iconic Dragon Ball moments — like Gohan going Super Saiyan 2 in the Bojack Unbound movie — or new scenarios devised solely for the fanart community — like a Beast Gohan vs Perfect Cell Max battle — Kakeru knows what it takes to make a great Dragon Ball image, with this latest post being no exception.

Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku

A technique mastered in Chapter 41 of Dragon Ball Super’s manga and Episode 130 of the anime titled “The Greatest Showdown of All Time! The Ultimate Survival Battle!!,” Goku’s Perfected Ultra Instinct technique is a nigh-omnipotent state where Goku lets pure instinct take over, making him an even more formidable fighter than before. Meanwhile, Gohan’s Beast transformation is a form that sees Gohan push past his limits to unlock the beast within and debuted in the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie and in Chapter 99 of the Dragon Ball Super manga.

Utilizing an art style that could easily be used for the cover of the latest Dragon Ball Super manga volume, Kakeru draws Beast Gohan and Ultra Instinct Goku locked in a heated duel currently at a stalemate. Showing Goku knocking aside Gohan’s fist while Gohan simultaneously catches his father’s punch, Kakeru draws the pair standing on cracked ground with their purple and blue energy swirls around them, their similarly colored silver hair popping against a set of vibrant yet worn colors, wholly nailing the look and feel of these characters, and hyping a battle that could go either fighter’s way.

While this familial battle has yet to happen in Dragon Ball Super’s anime adaptation, Goku and Gohan, as seen in the most recent chapter of Super’s manga, are currently in the middle of an Ultra Instinct vs Beast Form sparring session, with the next bit of story promising to kick things into high gear as these Saiyan warriors leave no power untapped and no technique off the table. Goku and Gohan look better than ever while using their latest transformations, with Kakeru (@DBSKAKERU1) giving fans a taste of the epic battle still yet to come in the best way possible.
