NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock was unveiled to the masses just a few days ago. It features a plethora of movies and TV shows, including the Bourne series, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Law & Order: SVU, and much more. The service features three tiers of viewing, one that’s free with a limited amount of ads, a full premium version with ads, and a full premium version without ads.
Among the many television series featured on Peacock, there are a handful of game shows and reality competitions available to stream. From shows that are fun and exciting to series that will inspire you and get your heart pounding, Peacock has something for everyone.
Beat The Clock
This family-friendly version of the classic game show features two teams going head-to-head against the clock in various games and challenges to win cash prizes. The team with the most money at the end of the game faces off against The Big Clock in order to win an additional $1,000. Hosted by Paul Costabile, the series consists of 40 half-hour episodes that will entertain the whole family for hours on end.
Hollywood Game Night
Jane Lynch hosts the hottest party around at one of her many palatial estates, inviting celebrities over to play fun and sometimes intense games to win $25,000 for regular contestants. Games like Smash the Buzzer and Celebrity Fusion will have you screaming the answers at the screen. Celebrities who have joined the party include Martin Short, Sarah Chalke, Max Greenfield, Yvette Nicole Brown and so many more. Most of the episodes from the show’s six seasons are available to stream on Peacock.
Deal or No Deal
Hosted by Howie Mandel, contestants on this show must choose one briefcase from 26 options that they think holds a top prize of $500,000. After each round of opening the other cases, constants face an offer from The Banker, who will try to get them out of the game for as little as possible. In deciding whether to take the offer or keep playing on, they will be asked the ultimate question, “Deal or No Deal?” One hundred half-hour episodes from the show’s syndicated run are available on the platform.
The Wall
This high-octane, heart-stopping game show sees a team of two go against the four-story pegboard with life-changing amounts of money on the line. One contestant answers questions from behind The Wall in isolation, while the other guesses how well they will answer the question by placing a ball in a slot. It all comes down to a big decision: Take guaranteed money or risk it all for what’s left on The Wall. Hosted by Chris Hardwick, the show’s third season is available to stream.
The Titan Games
From the mind of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson comes the latest athletic competition that turns everyday people into Titans. Facing off in a head-to-head battle, the trials contestants endure will test their spirit and strength to their wit’s end in events like Kick Out and Launch Pad. Featuring Johnson, Cari Champion, and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, most of the second season is available to stream for free on the service.
American Ninja Warrior
Based on the Japanese favorite Sasuke, everyday people face off in an obstacle course that will test their bodies to the limit. The best of the best will travel to Las Vegas and compete at Mt. Midoriyama, the world’s most difficult obstacle course, in an effort to win $1,000,000. Hosted by Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, seasons four through 11 are available for premium members to stream on the platform.
Face Off
This unique SYFY competition series sees makeup artists competing against each other to create movie-quality prostheses in just three days. It’s hosted by actress McKenzie Westmore, who comes from a family of makeup artists. Seasons nine through 13 of this series are available to stream for free.
World of Dance
Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and Ne-Yo serve as judges and mentors to aspiring dancers and troupes performing in hopes of winning a million-dollar prize. Most episodes of the show’s current fourth season are available to stream for free.
Songland
In this series, up-and-coming songwriters get the chance to present an original tune to a high-profile recording artist and a panel of three superstar songwriters and producers. Ryan Tedder, Esther Dean, and Shane Macanally guide artists from the demo they come in with to something more refined that’s fit for the final recording artist. Guest artists have included John Legend, the Jonas Brothers, Meghan Trainor, and Luis Fonsi. The show’s second season is available for all to stream.
America’s Got Talent
The country’s favorite talent competition sees talent of all kinds and ages compete for a $1,000,000 prize. Singers, comedians, magicians, dancers, and a variety of other acts perform in front of a panel of judges and the rest of the country to compete for America’s votes in hopes of becoming champion. Terry Crews hosts alongside judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell. Most episodes of the show’s current season are available to stream for free.
Bring the Funny
This comedy competition sees comedic performers from all types of comedy compete for a grand prize of $250,000. From stand-up to sketch to variety acts, anything that’s funny is fair game. Hosted by Amanda Seales, the judging panel is made up of Kenan Thompson, Chrissy Teigen, and Jeff Foxworthy. The show’s only 2019 season is available for all to stream.
Making It
Hosted by Parks and Recreation alumni Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, this feel-good competition series sees the best makers from around the country put their creativity to the test to see how crafty and handy they can be. Creating two crafts per episode, the contestants compete for a $100,000 prize and the coveted title of “Master Maker.” The show’s second season is available for all to stream.
Top Chef: Masters
This version of the Bravo favorite sees world-renowned chefs competing against one another in various cooking challenges. The show’s five seasons are available to stream for free.
Top Chef Jr
The kids’ version of the popular series sees young cooks competing in the same challenges as seen on the main show. Featuring Vanessa Lachey as host and Curtis Stone as head judge, the show’s two seasons are available to stream for free.
American Ninja Warrior Junior
The long-running competition now takes kids and turns them into ninjas. Regular kids from three different age groups go head-to-head in qualifying rounds, all the while being mentored by experienced ninjas from the main show. In the end, three winners will emerge and become junior American Ninja Warriors. The show is hosted by the same hosts of the main show: Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila. They are joined in the first season by Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez as their sideline reporter.
Hell’s Kitchen
The long-running cooking competition known for Gordon Ramsey’s signature style of criticism sees aspiring chefs compete for a head chef position at a high-profile restaurant, all the while enduring Ramsey’s poor temper. Sixteen seasons of the show are available to stream for free.
