Transformers One: Power Flip Optimus Prime (Orion Pax) Action Figure Revealed [EXLCUSIVE]

A (younger) Optimus Prime returns to the big screen this September voiced by Thor‘s Chris Hemsworth alongside a star-studded cast bringing to life everyone’s favorite Cybertronians in a story entirely set on their homeworld, and today we can exclusively reveal a brand-new Hasbro action figure for the iconic Autobot leader from the film: The Power Flip Optimus Prime (Orion Pax)!

A few weeks ago, we exclusively revealed Hasbro’s Studio Series Deluxe Transformers One Optimus Prime 112 action figure, inspired by the movie, which stands at 4.5 inches and can transform between its robot and Cybertronian truck modes in 25 steps. This Power Flip Optmus Prime is quite a bit different and can stand 8-10 inches in height and has four different modes.

The Power Flip Optimus Prime (Orion Pax) is targeted at younger fans and can transform between Orion Pax, Cybertronian Truck toy, the main Optimus Prime figure, and Ultimate Optimus Prime modes. It also comes with Optimus Prime’s sword, his Energon axe, a shield, and yes, the Matrix of Leadership. See below for our exclusive first look photos and official details.

TRANSFORMERS ONE POWER FLIP OPTIMUS PRIME (ORION PAX)

(HASBRO | Ages 6 and Up | Approx. Retail Price: $49.99 | Available: Summer 2024)

Experience the epic origins of legendary TRANSFORMERS robots with this Power Flip Optimus Prime (Orion Pax) action figure! Inspired by the heroic journey of Optimus Prime depicted in the TRANSFORMERS ONE movie, this toy converts between 4 different modes: Orion Pax, Cybertronian Truck toy, Optimus Prime figure, and Ultimate Optimus Prime.

During the process of conversion, Power Flip Optimus Prime grows in height from 8-10 inches. Hold the toy’s arms and flip the figure for an epic finale to finish the conversion to Ultimate Optimus Prime. Lights, sounds, and phrases activate at the push of a button or by converting between modes (toy speaks in English only). Includes sword, Energon axe, shield, and Matrix of Leadership accessories that can attach to the action figure in each mode. Includes 3x A76/LR44 button cell batteries.

Transformers One explores untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, once friends bonded like brothers, who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the canon of Transformers, Orion Pax is the original name of Optimus when he was a young dock worker who looked up to Megatron. We all know what that led to over the decades of Transformers animation and live-action movies (and amazing collectibles along the way).

At this year’s CinemaCon I had that opportunity to see the Transformers One trailer early during Paramount Pictures’ presentation (where they also announced a live-action Transformers crossover with G.I. Joe). More impressive than the trailer however, was an extended action sequence we saw from Transformers One in full 3D. It better demonstrated the tone and style of the animated film, and emphasized that Hemsworth’s voice does indeed sound like a younger Peter Cullen which is a must for longtime fans.
