10 Pokémon That Look Like Real Human Items, Ranked By Strength

10 Pokémon That Look Like Real Human Items, Ranked By Strength

Over eight generations, the Pokémon franchise has created some unforgettable creatures. With the anticipation of new ones on the way due to the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet coming soon, its a good time to look at some of the more unique forms that have been created.

While many Pokémon are based on real animals like dogs, aquatic life, and so on, there have been a handful that seems to share a resemblance to real-life items. Some of these Pokémon might look ridiculous, but many of them can be very strong, especially once evolved into their final form.

Exeggcute

10 Pokémon That Look Like Real Human Items, Ranked By Strength

Exeggcute is one of the first Pokémon created to resemble a human item – a pile of eggs. While its evolutions grow to be big and strong, and resemble coconut trees, Exeggutor being one of the biggest Pokémon, Exeggcute is both incredibly small and weak.

The stats match the frail nature that the cracked group of eggs gives off. While the defense stats of Exeggcute is somewhat strong, the rest are so low that it doesn’t really make up for it. There are plenty of moves that it can use to gain some strength, for players who prefer the eggs over the coconut trees. Moves like Extrasensory and Solar Beam, are just a few of the more powerful moves Exeggcute can learn to make it become stronger than it appears.

Sinistea/Polteageist

Another Pokémon that gives off a frail item look is Sinistea and Polteageist. The cool colors and the intricate details give it a cute appearance only adding to the fragility of the Pokémon. This Pokémon stays fairly true to the actual size of a teacup and a teapot, both under a foot tall, and less than a pound only adding to the realistic feel of these items.

Sinistea has very low stats all around, with its special attack stats being the only thing that redeems it even slightly, so evolving it is highly recommended. Polteageist has really strong special attacks and defense stats if trained correctly, and given the right moves. Paying attention to the size of the Pokémon that it is battling is key though because even though it might have some strong moves if it’s battling against a large Pokémon it may not last long.

Klefki

Pokemon Go Klefki

This Gen VI Pokémon, Klefki, is also known as the “Key Ring Pokémon”, which almost perfectly describes what it looks like. It also shares a resemblance to an infant’s play toy more closely than a key ring that would actually be used. The combination of the coloring and the face on the centerpiece that utilizes a keyhole as a mouth gives it its childish appearance.

As a Steel/Fairy-type, Kelfki has the potential to be a very strong Pokémon. Its small size, not even seven pounds, and shorter than a foot tall, is what keeps it from being a very strong Pokémon. Klefki has fairly decent stats all around, but its HP can’t get very high which also prevents it from being strong.

Litwick/Lampent/Chandelure

Litwick, Lampert and Chandeulire

From candle to lamp to chandelier, this Pokémon gives a small glimpse into the evolution of light with each change. Starting off as a small cute, mostly melted lit candle, this cute Pokémon even looks stronger with each evolution, and Chandelure is considered one of the scariest Ghost-type Pokémon that fans don’t want to catch.

With this Pokémon, if it’s strength the player is looking for, they should evolve it all the way to Chandelure. Litwick is far from strong, and Lampent isn’t much better, although the right attacks learned can give it a leg up. Chandelure has the most potential and is by far the strongest of the three forms. The array of moves that it can learn in the final form allows for it to be the strongest form, and to be able to fully utilize all the Ghost/Fire-type move combinations.

Vanillite/ Vanillish/Vanilluxe

From the left to the right: Vanillite, Vanillish, and Vanilluxe.

As an Ice-type, Pokémon tries to front Vanillite as a creation of ice and snow, but fans see through that. Between the way each evolution looks, and their names, there is no doubt that this Pokémon was based on ice cream cones and sundaes, and surely there are great Pokémon memes, rated by Ranker, to follow this outrageous creation.

While an ice cream cone isn’t very strong in real life, this one seems to be able to stand up in battle. Although it is solely an Ice-type, meaning that it has plenty of weaknesses like Fire-types and Rock-types, each time it evolves it gets a lot stronger. Vanillite isn’t very strong, but Vanilluxe has pretty good stats all across the board and can learn moves like Blizzard, Avalanche, and Hyper Voice that can make it a worthy opponent in battle.

Honedge/Doublade/Aegislash

Honedge, doublade, and aegislash

This sword and shield type Pokémon looks exactly like that – a sword and a shield. It starts off as a single blade only to have the ability to evolve into the sword and shield combination that is one of the most powerful Pokémon.

Overall, any evolution of this Pokémon isn’t all that strong on the offensive despite its massive size (it stands around five feet tall). All three don’t have much going for them as they have low HP, as well as they are pretty slow. The one redeeming quality for these weapon-like Pokémon is that their defense systems are like no other. Each evolution has stats that blow their other stats out of the water, making it able to take most attacks while sustaining minimal damage.

Klink/Klang/ Klinklang

Klink. Klang, klinklang

Typically as Pokémon evolve, the alternate name for them can change, but this is not the case for the “Gear Pokémon“. This Steel-type Pokémon looks exactly like one gear that gains an additional gear with each evolution.

Compared to many of the other Pokémon that look like real human items, this is one of the stronger ones. Obviously, as it evolves it gets stronger, but besides having a great lineup of stats, there are many moves that Klinklang can learn to make it stronger in battle. From Zap Cannon to Hyper Beam, with the right set of moves, Klinklang could be a really strong Pokémon despite the fact that it looks like a bunch of gears.

Cryogonal

Cryogonal from Pokemon

In the snowy regions of the game and the show, fans can find the snowflake that came to life – Cryogonal. This large snowflake is a Pokémon that took the form of a snowflake that can be solid ice. Its thick outer shell can make it stronger than it may appear.

Teaching Cryogonal special moves that are both offensive and defensive is the best way to get the most from this Pokémon in battle. Figuring out how to best utilize the incredible speed that this snowflake has could help allow it to excel in battles as well making it stronger than foes would think.

Magnemite/Magneton

Artwork of both Magnemite and Magneton in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Just like Exeggcute, Magnemite and Magneton are Pokémon from Gen I, making them some of the first Pokémon that look like a real human item. This Electric/Steel-type Pokémon takes magnets and screws and combines them to create a Pokémon.

This combination of items and types has helped make this Pokémon become one of the most recognizable of the first generation. Taking advantage of the dual types and the wide range of moves it can learn is the best way to strengthen a Magneton to the fullest. It has a lot to offer if its special attacks and its defensive moves are used efficiently.

Applin/Flapple/Appletun

Applin and its evolutions from Pokemon

Of all the Pokémon that look like real human items, Applin and its evolutions have the biggest range of which one is the strongest. Applin, is the weakest of the three by far. Flapple, however, has really good attack stats, is decently fast, and can even be trained to have a good defense if trained well.

The final evolution – Appletun – seems to resemble an apple pie turtle type of Pokémon. This sweet Pokémon does have more HP available than Flapple, making it slightly stronger, but it is extremely slow, and its attack stats aren’t as high. Flapple or Appletun each have decent strengths that they offer in battle, so it’s really up to the trainer whether they want more speed or more HP.
