Top 10 Worst Love Is Blind Cast Members From All Seasons (These Villains Get Shade)

Top 10 Worst Love Is Blind Cast Members From All Seasons (These Villains Get Shade)

Love Is Blind has featured dozens of contestants who want to discover if love can overcome physical barriers, but many leave the show as villains. For the first four seasons of Love Is Blind, which first premiered in 2020, Netflix cast 36 individuals for the social experiment, although most aren’t featured past the initial introduction. With so many people involved yet only a few engagements each season, only a handful of contestants are followed.

Love Is Blind has a better track record than other reality TV dating shows such as Too Hot To Handle or Married At First Sight. In the most recent season, three couples said “I do” at the altar, and it was revealed on Love Is Blind: After The Altar season 4 that all three pairs are still together. However, there were still some apparent duds in the mix. While there will undoubtedly be a new crop of villains in the Love Is Blind season 5 cast, these notorious bad guys are the worst thus far.

10 Carlton Morton From Love Is Blind Season 1

Carlton Morton and Diamond Jack had one of the most tumultuous relationships in Love Is Blind history. In fact, Carlton’s emotional outbursts and defensive attitude are still negatively remembered after four seasons. Carlton and Diamond had great chemistry in the pods but quickly fell apart once they met in person. He waited until their honeymoon to tell Diamond that he was bisexual, and when Diamond attempted to explain that she felt deceived, Carlton exploded in anger. Diamond and Carlton separated then and there and haven’t spoken since the Love Is Blind season 1 reunion.

9 Amber Pike From Love Is Blind Season 1

Amber Pike and Matt Barnett are still together, but their road to marriage was anything but smooth. While Amber and Barnett shared a connection on Love Is Blind season 1, Barnett was also interested in Jessica Batten. It seemed that Amber intentionally tried to “steal” Barnett from Jessica. In addition to her passive-aggressive threats, she was often tagged as immature, manipulative, and self-centered. While the outward hate for Amber has cooled recently, she took a lot of heat in season 1.

8 Zainab Jaffrey From Love Is Blind Season 3

Zanab listens to Cole while peeling oranges in Love Is Blind

Although viewers initially liked Zanab Jaffrey, she quickly lost her fan-favorite status on Love Is Blind season 3 after she left Cole Barnett at the altar. Zanab and Cole’s incompatibility was evident from the start, and Cole’s immaturity indicated the pair shouldn’t get married.

While Cole wasn’t liked for most of Love Is Blind season 3, Zanab’s left-field accusations towards Cole rubbed viewers the wrong way, especially after Netflix released a deleted scene between Zanab and Cole that painted their relationship in a new light. Since the Love Is Blind season 3 reunion, Zanab hasn’t helped her newfound reputation as she has continued to double-down on her accusations online.

7 Matt Bolton From Love Is Blind Season 3

When Matt and Colleen formed a connection in the Love Is Blind pods, Matt’s emotional baggage made him a sympathetic cast member, as his last marriage ended in divorce due to infidelity. As time went on, however, Matt became a walking red flag. While Colleen was determined to get married, Matt threatened to leave Colleen multiple times and was filmed displaying aggressive behavior. Colleen and Matt are still married after they tied the knot in Love Is Blind season 3, but it’s difficult to forget how much Matt’s red-hot temper was swept under the rug.

6 Shaina Hurley From Love Is Blind Season 2

Like Shake, Shaina Hurley didn’t impress viewers when she was introduced on Love Is Blind season 2, and her controversial relationships with Kyle Abrams and Shayne Jansen didn’t help her public reputation. Shaina got engaged to Kyle in the Love Is Blind pods despite her apparent attraction to Shayne, who got engaged to Natalie Lee.

Shaina left Kyle halfway through the social experiment, and after Love Is Blind season 2 wrapped, Natalie accused Shaina and Shayne of inappropriate behavior. She’s now married, and Shaina and her husband Christos Lardakis are expecting a baby.

5 Jackelina Bonds From Love Is Blind Season 4

Jackelina

Jackie Bonds was so hated after Love Is Blind season 4 that she claimed to have received death threats and didn’t feel comfortable attending the reunion. While Jackie’s online bullying was inappropriate, she didn’t represent herself in the best light on the show. She connected with Marshall Glaze and Josh Demas, ultimately accepting a proposal from Marshall. However, she consistently belittled Marshall for being too soft and wanted him to be more aggressive. Jackie wasn’t ready for the mature relationship Marshall had to offer.

Jackie claimed production edited her scenes to make it look like she and Josh reconnected before she broke off her engagement with Marshall, but the actual timeline is unknown. Regardless, how Jackie treated Marshall immediately made her the villain in season 4, including her refusal to return the ring or openly communicate with him. Jackie and Josh are still together.

4 Bartise Bowden From Love Is Blind Season 3

Bartise Bowden’s blatant misogyny on Love Is Blind season 3 made him an obvious target, but his ditching Nancy Rodriguez at the altar was the nail in his coffin. However, Bartise is a rare contestant who became more hated after the show. He later starred in Perfect Match, where he came across as entitled and sexist, leaving once again without a partner. Shockingly, he became a father with a non-famous baby mama in 2023, but not even Bartise’s baby news could change his villain status.

3 Shake Chatterjee From Love Is Blind Season 2

Shake Chatterjee on Love is Blind season 2

Shake Chatterjee’s unfiltered opinions and upfront personality quickly solidified him as the villain of Love Is Blind season 2. While Shake and Deepti Vempati appeared to establish a connection on their honeymoon, Shake promptly determined that he did not find Deepti physically attractive.

Although he didn’t appear to be intentionally malicious, and Shake pointed out flaws in the Love Is Blindprocess, Deepti, his co-stars, and viewers at home couldn’t get past Shake’s unnecessary comments and blunt attitude. Deepti deserved so much better than Shake. In fact, he’s such a notorious TV villain that he’s appearing on the new reality TV series House of Villains.

2 Irina Solomonova From Love Is Blind Season 4

Irina Solomonova at the Love is Blind season 4 reunion

Irina emerged as the Love Is Blind season 4 villain frontrunner almost immediately. The business owner and entrepreneur set her sights on Zack Goytowski, who also connected with Bliss Poureetezadi, his future wife. However, he proposed to Irina, who proceeded to belittle and mock him for the entirety of their Mexico trip. She also formed a toxic friendship with Micah Lussier, with whom she created mean girl energy and made fun of other girls, including an incredibly cringeworthy scene with flight attendant Amber Wilder.

Irina is still universally hated and viewed as a villain, and her appearances after the show did nothing to endear her to the public. Luckily, Micah redeemed herself in Love Is Blind: After The Altar, and Zack and Bliss are happily married, so Irina is free to fade into obscurity after her abysmal reality TV stint.

1 Love Is Blind Hosts Nick & Vanessa Lachey

Love Is Blind's Nick Lachey looking surprised and Vanessa Lachey smiling

While they aren’t contestants, Love Is Blind hosts Nick and Vanessa are not only technically cast members but overwhelmingly disliked. Nick and Vanessa, who also host Netflix’s The Ultimatum, have been criticized by viewers since Love Is Blind season 1 for their overall disinterest in the program. The Love Is Blind hosts rarely appear throughout each season, and when they do, Nick and Vanessa make little effort to get to know the contestants. Vanessa’s obsession with babies has also gotten a little disconcerting. Whether they become more liked in future seasons remains to be seen.

Love Is Blind season 5 premieres on Netflix on Friday, September 22 at 12 a.m. PST.
