The Sagittarius in the Zodiac is known as the adventurer, traveler, and life of the party. They have a knack for putting their money where their mouth is and are among the most optimistic. They have a way of turning their words to action and have achieved great things and are always looking for more.
They are among the most progressive and accepting of all ideas and changes and are never satisfied with their current status. They’re fun to be around and can be great leaders and supporters. Looking at movies, let’s look at some of our favorite Sagittarius protagonists.
The Dude – The Big Lebowski (1998)
As one of the most care-free, and inquisitive characters in The Big Lebowski, The Dude marches to the beat of his own drum. He has radical ideas that might rub some people the wrong way but he doesn’t care.
He’s his own man, a unique one that everyone wants to be around even though he doesn’t offer much other than his love for pot and CCR. He’s idealistic and optimistic which makes him a total Sagittarius.
Bruce Banner – MCU
Before his life was changed with The Hulk, Bruce Banner was a very bright and optimistic scientist, with a love of experimenting and working with his hands. He thought he could change the world with his big brain and inventions and continues to do so even after his transformation.
He doesn’t let a lot get him down and he’s always looking to learn more and improve his view of the world. He can get impatient or overconfident, but that’s just part of what makes him a Sagittarius.
Miles Morales – Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse (2018)
Taking over the real Spider-man after his tragic death, Miles was in for a rude awakening when he realized there was more to being Spider-man than he expected. He’s an artistic and very opinionated kid, seeing the big picture and wanting more than just normal life.
He’s a bit impulsive and overconfident, and at times he is also very creative, all ways he became a hero in the movie and inspired the rest of his team despite being the youngest.
Hagrid – Harry Potter Franchise
Harry Potter may have been the star of the series, but the real favorite for movie/book fans was the lovable Hagrid. Since he first met Harry as an infant, he has cared for him and grew to love Ron and Hermione, becoming a loving friend.
Born December 6th, he was meant to be a Sagittarius, his acceptance for all people and creatures, his generous nature, and his warm smile despite his giant stature.
Roger Murtaugh – Lethal Weapon Franchise
Roger Murtaugh has seen it all. From the Vietnam War to 20 years in the LAPD, he has been through so much and has had experiences that most police sergeants couldn’t dream of.
He’s a serious and level-headed man, but what makes him a true Sag is his impatience, firm philosophies, and his view of the world. Add in he was born December 21st, he’s a total Sag.
Robin Hood – Robin Hood (2018)
Robin Hood is never satisfied, he’s always looking to improve and get better at everything he does. We all know he’s a man of the people by being the first well-known vigilante in medieval times.
He has certain unwavering ideals and his impatience to learn everything makes him a Sag. Add in the fact he is a world traveler, there is no doubt he’s a Sagittarius.
Thor – MCU
Being 1500 years old, there aren’t a lot of places Thor hasn’t seen or been to or seen. He’s a master of war, lightning, strategy, and he’s an Avenger, so you know he’s adventurous.
Although he’s portrayed as serious and stoic in the first Thor movies, his comical and energetic side comes out later on, cementing his status as a Sagittarius.
Owen Grady – Jurassic World
Owen Grady was the voice of reason for protecting the dinosaurs and convincing people that they have feelings and are creatures that should be respected. He feels closer to the dinos than he does with actual people and that just shows how much he cares about life other than himself.
He’s a strong advocate and he’s energetic and charming, being able to befriend anyone with just a smile.
Jack Sparrow – Pirate Of The Caribbean Franchise
He has high hopes for himself despite being a lowly pirate captain. He’s traveled the world and has made friends (and enemies) in every continent in the world. He’s energetic and the center of attention everywhere he goes.
Captain Jack Sparrow has high expectations for himself and sees the big picture and will do anything to achieve greatness.
Jessie – Toy Story Franchise
Jessie has never been satisfied just being a toy, she wants adventure and seeing the world, she may not always agree with the rest of her friends, but she is still a good friend.
She’s the most energetic of the toys, always looking for something to do and fight for, she lives for the adrenaline rushes. She’s a total Sag.
