Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, representing some of the most ambitious and impulsive go-getters out of all the signs. Most protagonists we see in tv shows today carry the charm and reliability to resonate with the audience and carry a show for several seasons.
These characters, often the most loved character in a series or at least one of the most memorable carry both the good and bad characteristics of a true Aries. While some may be born Aries and can’t help it, others are seen as Aries due to their nature. Let’s look at some of Tv’s favorite
Jesse Katsopolis – Full House (1989-1995)
Have Mercy! Born April 15th the cool and charming Jesse Katsopolis is our Aries king. He’s ambitious, starting the show as a humble exterminator and working his way up to a literal rockstar.
Jesse is a little rough around the edges, refusing to show his true emotions and jumping into several business endeavors to fulfill his need to make a name for himself. Deep down he’s a family man, always ready to do anything for his nieces, and later wife and kids.
Ilana Wexler – Broad City (2014-2019)
Ilana is a free-spirit. Although it seems like she’s lazy and a tad bit unstable, Ilana is always looking at the bigger picture. She likes to feel like she’s in charge and will never tell you if she made a mistake.
She’s a dedicated friend and doesn’t mind the constant attention she gets for being eccentric and outgoing. She’s the textbook definition of an Aries. Also, the actress that plays Ilana (Ilana Glazer) was born April 12th, making her a true Aries.
Miley Stewart – Hannah Montana (2006-2011)
For a girl that can flawlessly live a double life as a teenager, you would think Miley Stewart would be a Gemini, but alas she is an Aries. As Miley, she’s always trying to get ahead, excelling in school, standing up to the popular kids, and making her own goals. As Hannah Montana, she always strived to be the best at what she did and always took it to far with her antics.
What makes Miley a true Aries is that she’s willing to get to the top her way, she refuses to take shortcuts and works hard to be the best person/singer she can be, even if that includes crazy adventures with your friends.
Jack Donaghy – 30 Rock (2006-2013)
Jack Donaghy is a true Aries due to his competitive nature and willingness to do anything to get the job done. He gets bored easily and is often everywhere ate once, but he always finds his way and manages to find success.
He’s competitive, a bit childish with his approaches and he loves to be the center of attention. And like Ilana, the actor that plays Jack, Alec Baldwin, is also an Aries.
Jenny Humphrey – Gossip Girl (2007-2012)
Jenny Humphrey was often misunderstood as a rebel or troublemaker but she was really just trying to take her place in the world. Born April 2nd, Little J felt like she was destined for stardom, competing to be the most popular kid in her school and trying to make it as a fashion designer.
She hates being told what to do and feels her most confident when she’s getting attention and praise. She often dives headfirst into problems, causing her to clash with Blair on several occasions.
Winston Schmidt – New Girl (2011-2018)
Winston Schmidt is a lot of things, he’s funny, outgoing, energetic, and immature. He has high hopes for himself at work and takes pride in his skills and charm. As the most immature character on the show, Schmidt often acts before he thinks and always gets himself into a situation where he needs help getting out.
He loves being the man with a plan and hates getting excluded. He claims to be an expert in everything, even if he has less than the basic knowledge.
Chandler Bing – Friends (1994-2004)
Born April 8th, Chandler is sarcastic and hilarious, easily one of the most recognizable of the group. Chandler is always joking around and he never takes anything seriously, leading to a whole bunch of one-liners and gut-busting scenes throughout.
As an Aries, Chandler is hardworking, dependable, and loyal to his friends, and he’s always the first to try to make his friends feel better and appeal to their pain.
Nate Archibald – Gossip Girl (2007-2012)
Like Jenny, Nate Archibald has an early year birthday on March 27th. Nate started the show as an insecure and heartbroken kid and ended the show as an executive and editor in chief of his newspaper company.
Although Nate was often scared to stand up for himself, he worked hard to prove his worth to his friends and be a good and dependable guy.
Pam Beesly – The Office (2005-2013)
Born March 25th, Pam Beesly started the show as a young and ambitious artist and later turned into a young and ambitious saleswoman and mother. Pam was never happy being just the receptionist and even when she was, she left a void no one else could fill (sorry Erin).
She’s soft-spoken and easy-going but she’s also not afraid to stand up for herself or her friends. As she later became the mentor for Erin and the younger women of the office.
Eleanor Shellstrop – The Good Place (2016-)
She wastes no time beating around the bush, she’s bold and she’s often apologizing for saying the wrong thing, Eleanor is a textbook Aries. Despite her direct approach, she’s charming enough to pull it off and she is a good leader when she’s given the chance.
She only likes working in teams when she’s left in charge and she prides herself on being able to handle multiple things at once.
