Tom Hiddleston Spy Series Gets Two-Season Renewal 8 Years After Season 1 Ended

Tom Hiddleston’s spy series, The Night Manager, gets a two-season renewal 8 years after the release of season 1. Based on John le Carré’s 1993 novel of the same name, The Night Manager follows Hiddleston’s Jonathan Pine, a hotel manager and former British soldier, as he infiltrates a major arms dealer’s inner circle. It was reported last year that the critically-acclaimed series could continue, but updates on the project have since been hard to come by, until now.

Deadline now reports that The Night Manager season 2 and season 3 are both moving forward as a co-production for the BBC and Amazon. Filming on season 2 is expected to get underway at some point this year, with Hiddleston expected to reprise his role. While story details are hard to come by, the new season will pick up eight years after the season 1 ending.

More to come…
