Titans: 10 Characters We Could See In Season 3

(Spoilers for the first and second seasons of Titans sit below.)

The second season of DC Universe’s Titans has wrapped, with Season 3 set to premiere next year (likely in the fall). There were a ton of characters introduced in Season 2; a combination of some real heavyweights like Bruce Wayne and Deathstroke, along with some more obscure-but-no-less-awesome characters, like Ravager, Jericho, Doctor Light, and Aqualad (RIP). We can probably expect a similar slew of new characters in Season 3, with a mix of well-known and lesser-known, so without further ado, let’s take a glance of some that could show up:

SUPERMAN

Titans: 10 Characters We Could See In Season 3

Look, we didn’t really expect we’d get to see Bruce Wayne, but he was/is in the show, and is actually in it a decent bit. With Superboy in the show now, it’s definitely plausible that the Man of Steel could make an appearance in the near future, too! It could certainly serve to really move Conner along as a character nicely, and who doesn’t want to see the Man of Steel on-screen?

LEX LUTHOR

For the same reasons that Superman could theoretically make an appearance in Titans, Lex Luthor could presumably show up, as well; in fact, if we see one, it’s probably pretty likely that we’ll see the other, too. Lex Luthor could definitely further complicate matters for Conner, seeing as he’s, y’know, Lex Luthor, and the fact that Conner has a bit of Lex in him, too. The inclusion of Luthor probably means that we’d be seeing more of CADMUS, too.

WONDER WOMAN

With Donna Troy and Rachel on their way to Themiscrya, it’s possible we could get a glimpse at Wonder Woman, too. If/when Donna recovers, it might do her some good to have a chance to talk to her mentor about things, since Donna had a pretty rough go of things last season. It could also be pretty cool to see Rachel and Wonder Woman get some screen time together; WW could get a glimpse at just how powerful (and dangerous) Rachel can be, possibly putting her on the Justice League’s radar. (Okay, we’re definitely dreaming here, but you can’t say you DON’T want to see the Titans vs. The Justice League.)

RED HOOD

Jason makes an appearance at the airport when they were flying Donna and Rachel off, but he kept his distance and rode off on his motorcycle pretty quickly. It doesn’t seem like he wants anything at all to do with the Titans after what happened between him and Rose, but it doesn’t seem like he’s on his way back to Gotham, either. Will he stay The Boy Wonder, or will he don a new disguise? Possibly… the Red Hood?

KID FLASH/IMPULSE

Bart Allen

If they’re looking to inject some new blood into the group, they make go the route of introducing an entirely new character into the mix, and one that we would love to see is either Kid Flash or Impulse. This could mean a wide amount of different characters, ranging from Wally West, Bart Allen, or more, but most (if not all) of the interpretations of Kid Flash/Impulse have been involved in the Titans at some point in the comics, making them a likely candidate for inclusion in the show.

BLUE BEETLE

Another character that would be some fresh blood is Blue Beetle. Not the Ted Kord variety (though he is awesome), but the Jaime Reyes version. Created in 2006, Jaime Reyes found a strange scarab that infuses with him, giving him powers. Blue Beetle did join the Titans at one point in the comics, though he took a break from the team after a while to spend more time with his family.

BROTHER BLOOD

With Rachel’s powers on the fritz, there’s a character that could serve to seriously exacerbate the situation: Brother Blood. Brother Blood leads the Cult of Blood that worships, you guessed it, Trigon. The groundwork for the Cult of Blood has already been lain in Titans in Season 1, so there really wouldn’t even need to be that much preliminary work needed to introduce him or the Cult. Brother Blood could really cause Rachel, in particular, some problems, and could theoretically lead to Trigon coming back, too.

KID DEVIL/RED DEVIL

Though they don’t really have much to do with each other, Brother Blood could open the door to the inclusion of Kid Devil or Red Devil, whichever name you prefer. They’ve both had dealings with the demon Neron in the comics, and Kid Devil could be introduced pretty easily if this is the route the show goes. Plus, Kid Devil used to be a superfan of the Blue Devil who was included in Swamp Thing, which could open the door to some of those characters from that show being included in Titans in the future.

CYBORG

It’s already been stated that Cyborg will appear in Titans at some point, so it’s really just a matter of when. Longtime Titans fans are eager to see one of the most popular members to make an appearance on the show, but thus far, he’s been limited to being on the equally awesome Doom Patrol. After seeing a lot of Cyborg on Doom Patrol, it’s pretty clear he’d make a pretty cool addition to the dysfunctional Titans family and could come with the added bonus of possibly crossing the two shows over again.

QUEEN BEE

Queen Bee holds Superman.

H.I.V.E. has already been introduced into Titans, so, much like Brother Blood, it wouldn’t be too big of a stretch to see Queen Bee introduced in the near future. Since the New 52, Queen Bee has been the leader of the H.I.V.E. organization and could be a real heavyweight antagonist for the show. At one point in the comics, she gained control of every mind in the city of New Orleans, planning on taking control of every mind in the nation, until the Titans stopped her.
