Faith Martin could likely win The Golden Bachelor, and it’s not just because Faith received Gerry Turner’s first impression rose. Faith is a 61-year-old from Benton City, Washington, and is ready for her second chance at love with Gerry. However, Faith has been looking for the one for quite some time. She divorced her husband of 20 years long before she was cast on The Golden Bachelor; however, her ex-husband suddenly passed away a year before Faith joined the show. Even though she is technically not a widower, Faith’s ex was the father of her two sons and grandfather of her four grandchildren.

So far, The Golden Bachelor season 1 has been an entertaining rollercoaster ride. This is the first time in The Bachelor franchise that a 72-year-old man was cast in the lead role. The spin-off was first announced back in 2020; however, ABC couldn’t get around to filming or casting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, after three years, Gerry was announced as The Golden Bachelor and began filming his journey over the summer. While there are a few spoilers out there, thanks to Reality Steve, he’s not always right, plus he still doesn’t know the winner. Could Faith be the one Gerry proposes to? It seems likely that she is the one.

Faith Received Gerry’s First Impression Rose

During The Golden Bachelor season 1, episode 1, Faith was introduced to Bachelor Nation, along with the rest of the women vying for Gerry’s heart. She immediately captured Gerry and the hearts of fans when she pulled up to The Bachelor mansion on a motorcycle. Once Faith entered the house and mingled with the other ladies, she finally got to pull Gerry aside, where she whipped out her guitar and sang him a song. Gerry was immediately taken by her and couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful she was. By the end of the night, Gerry pulled Faith aside and gave her the coveted first impression rose.

While Faith was shocked, she was the most memorable entrance of the night, and clearly, Gerry thought so as well. This immediately made Faith one of Gerry’s front-runners of the season. Judging from past Bachelor seasons, the man or woman who receives the first impression rose usually wins or at least makes it very far in the season.

She Has Mainly Been In The Background Since She Got The Rose

After receiving the first impression rose from Gerry, Faith has mainly stayed in the background. In the last three episodes of The Golden Bachelor, Faith has rarely been featured, let alone getting any time with Gerry. Nonetheless, it seems Gerry began focusing his attention on some of the other women in the house, such as Leslie Fhima and Theresa Nist. Theresa got the first one-on-one date of the season, while Leslie went on her first one-on-one with him on Thursday night’s new episode.

In the past three episodes, Faith was really only seen once, when she had a conversation with Theresa regarding her feud with Kathy Swarts. It seems The Golden Bachelor, like every season in The Bachelor franchise, pivoted to focusing on the drama among the women and not the connection between Gerry and some of the women, such as Faith. However, now that Gerry is down to his final six, he’s definitely more focused on finding his future wife.

Faith & Gerry Seemingly Get More Time Together In the Previews

In the previews for next Thursday’s episode of The Golden Bachelor, Gerry is getting close to hometown dates and deciding who he wants to propose to. Several of the final women begin to express their love for Gerry, including Faith. In the preview, during what looks like a date, Faith tells Gerry, “Every time I see you, I just fall for you deeper and deeper.” While Faith is saying this to Gerry, she seems very emotional. She is beginning to fall more in love with Gerry, and there’s a possibility he feels the same way.

Hopefully, in the episodes leading up to the finale, Faith will get more time with Gerry. They had a great connection in the beginning that could lead to a loving relationship. Faith has a very good chance of winning The Golden Bachelor and stealing Gerry’s heart.

The Golden Bachelor airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
