A new pitch on the LEGO Ideas website showcases a buildable figurine of the titular characters from the Banjo-Kazooie franchise, and fans are right to want to see it made a reality. The duo have had some major rebounds as of late, which has been great news for aficionados. After being dormant for over a decade following the release of Nuts & Bolts on Xbox 360, Banjo and Kazooie appeared in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Given that the bear and bird are owned by Microsoft and appeared in a Nintendo game, this was a pretty strong reflection of the demand behind these characters.

Now gamers are wondering where the Banjo-Kazooie series could show up next. The flagship N64 platformer has inspired a ship aesthetic in Rare’s own Sea of Thieves. Truth be told, it has a rather swanky design and is packed with references to the original games for those in the know. There was no way that the goodtimes would stop there, however, as a fan has now put together a pitch to LEGO-ify Banjo and Kazooie.

Taking to the website known as LEGO Ideas, an individual referred to as ‘mpino’ has put together a concept of a Banjo and Kazooie figure that is quite impressive. Based on the official page, the model is roughly six-inches tall and features 16 key points of articulation. The set itself is based on the polygonal look of Banjo-Kazooie from the Nintendo 64 days and would include a total of 210 bricks. All of these factors would make it a relatively perfect desk buddy.

As of this writing, the page has a modest 324 backers. Still, it’s only just starting to gain speed, as is evident by it being gifted an extension of 365 days from LEGO itself because of the traction it has seen so far. Anyone that’s keen to support the idea can simply head over to the website and let LEGO know that they’re all in on the pitch. It’ll be interesting to see how well it performs, but Microsoft and LEGO have worked together in the past with Forza so nothing is off the table yet.

In the meantime, Banjo and Kazooie are now playable in Smash Ultimate, which is a great distraction to be entirely honest. The duo handle just like they do in their games, and it’s great to see them square off with the likes of Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog. Indeed, it feels like a true and honest homecoming for the pair. Now, here’s hoping that the good times don’t stop coming for the bear, the bird, and the fans.
