‘The Woman In Black’ Trailer & Sneak Peek Clip: Deadly Superstition

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is moving on to new cinematic fare, having completed his epic run as the famed boy wizard. But that doesn’t mean Mr. Radcliffe is leaving the supernatural world of the Potter films far behind. In fact, in the upcoming horror film The Woman In Black, Radcliffe takes on a particularly nasty ghost, sans magic wand.

If you liked the Woman in Black teaser trailer, or full trailer, then you’ll surely enjoy the latest trailer for the film, which reveals a bit more (but not too many) of the frightening situations that Radcliffe’s character will find himself in. We also have some “sneak peak” footage to share with you.

First, a little bit about what The Woman in Black is all about:

Young lawyer Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe) travels to a remote village to organize a recently deceased client’s papers, where he encounters the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance.

Now check out the third trailer and the sneak peek footage for The Woman in Black:

Admittedly, The Woman in Black is stepping into some well-trodden movie terrain, but to the credit of Radcliffe, director James Watkins (Eden Lake) and acclaimed screenwriter Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, The Debt, X-Men: First Class), this film looks like a worthy entry in the haunted house horror sub genre.

There’s also the fact that actors like Radcliffe, Janet McTeer and Ciarán Hinds are involved with this project; not the sort of talent you’d expect to see in some hackneyed ghost flick. This new trailer (as well as the UK Trailer) hints at a story that goes beyond simple supernatural themes into psychological drama as well… All I’ll say is, if that’s the case, I hope the end results are more like the movie The Orphanage, and less like the recent flop that was Jim Sheridan’s Dream House.

We’ll find out when The Woman in Black hits theaters on February 3, 2012.
