The Voice: Morgan Wallen & Paige Lorenze Reportedly Split Over Infidelity

Morgan Wallen, who competed on The Voice season 6, has split from Paige Lorenze after allegedly cheating on her. The country singer, who was coached by Usher and Adam Levine before being eliminated in the playoffs, has found major success — and controversy — since his 2014 appearance on the show. In May 2020, Morgan was arrested outside a Nashville bar owned by musician Kid Rock for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Months later, during a surge of COVID-19, Morgan was caught flouting mask and social distance guidelines before a scheduled appearance on Saturday Night Live. It wasn’t until February 2021 that Morgan was thrown under intense public scrutiny when a video surfaced of him uttering a racial slur. Despite the intense backlash that has followed, Morgan’s music sales have continued to increase.

At the beginning of February, news broke that Morgan was dating 24-year-old Paige Lorenze, a model previously linked to actor Armie Hammer. The pair reportedly became an item a year ago and were quietly seeing each other throughout 2021. Family and friends close to the couple knew about their relationship, but it wasn’t until last month that fans got glimpses of Paige and Morgan together. For Paige’s birthday on January 26, Morgan shared a shot of them celebrating with others before they were pictured at a Nashville party days later. Paige confirmed the relationship herself on February 10; writing “I love you!” on Instagram, the caption accompanied a photo of the two cuddling ahead of Morgan’s performance at Madison Square Garden in NYC; Morgan’s “The Dangerous Tour” kicked off on February 3.

Just a few weeks later, sources close to Page Six now report that Morgan and Paige have parted ways due to alleged infidelity by Morgan. “She suspected he was cheating on her with multiple people,” after their relationship went public last month, one insider says. After the couple confirmed that they were dating, Paige reportedly began receiving messages from women on Instagram that claimed they had also been seeing Morgan. The same source says that DM’s from others “got to a point where it was just too much” to handle and cast major doubts, leaving Paige “heartbroken.” A second source confirms to Page Six that Morgan is single and primarily “focused on being a dad,” for his 1-year-old son Indigo, who he shares with ex-fiancée Katie “KT” Smith; Morgan and KT were together from 2016 to 2019.

While Paige hasn’t directly addressed Morgan’s latest transgression, her Instagram page hints that Morgan was indeed unfaithful. In a story posted on February 27, Paige reshared a quote clearly aimed at her now-ex: “One of the most underrated ingredients for having a good life is a clear conscious. To know you aren’t out here doing people wrong and hiding who you are lets you sleep peaceful at night. Karma is real, energy is contagious.” The same day, Paige announced that she has moved into a home in NYC’s West Village without Morgan who continues to reside in Nashville. As for The Voice alum, Morgan seems to have addressed the split in his own way. In an Instagram post also uploaded yesterday, Morgan shared a photo of himself on stage with the cryptic caption, “Right where I need to be.” With “The Dangerous Tour” no doubt serving as a distraction from the breakup, Morgan’s next show is scheduled for March 3 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Morgan and Paige have yet to outright confirm or deny allegations of cheating, but it’s clear from their social media accounts that they are no longer together. In fact, a quick search reveals that the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram. On the other hand, several coaches featured on The Voice remain in steady relationships; married power couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani first met on the show in 2014 while Ariana Grande married Dalton Gomez last May. The Voice, now on season 22, is set to premiere sometime this year. Fans who are anxious for the program to return to NBC aren’t just looking forward to who the coaches are, but the featured singers. Most hope that the network avoids further controversial contestants like Morgan by spending more time vetting potential contestants.
