The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Star Promises A Satisfying & Wild Ending

The Umbrella Academy star Justin H. Min teases a wild and satisfying season 4 ending for viewers. The Netflix series will conclude with season 4, which is set to premiere on August 8. Across the first three seasons, the show followed the Hargreeves, seven superpowered individuals born mysteriously on October 1, 1989, and adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore). As children, they made up a superhero team dubbed the Umbrella Academy. As estranged adults, they are forced to work together again to prevent the end of the world, and season 4 will see the crew reunited for one last adventure.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Min, who portrays Ben Hargreeves, teased The Umbrella Academy season 4’s ending. Min explained that he couldn’t say too much about the new season. However, he confirmed the cast had an “amazing time” filming the final installment and that he personally felt that “fans will be given closure” in the end. The actor also teased that season 4 would be “wild” and “emotional,” but ultimately does justice to the characters and story. Check out his statement below:

I think we do justice to the story and to the characters. It is, of course, going to be a wild ride, as every season is. Season 3 Ended With The Siblings Losing Their Powers And Going Their Separate Ways.

As The Umbrella Academy prepares to end with its final episodes, the series has many stories that need to wrap up in its shortened final season. Unlike previous seasons that boasted ten episodes, season 4 was cut to just six episodes. Meanwhile, it has quite the story to tackle, considering season 3 left off on a major cliffhanger in which Sir Reginald reset the timeline. The Hargreeves found themselves in a new timeline where they all lost their powers, and their adoptive father had established a business empire.

The Umbrella Academy‘s season 3 ending was promising, as the loss of the Hargreeves’ powers promised to change the typical season formula. Each season has seen the siblings attempt to prevent an apocalypse, which often has fatal consequences for the timeline. Hence, with yet another timeline reset with unpredictable consequences, season 4 ran the risk of getting too formulaic. However, the power twist puts the Hargreeves in entirely new circumstances and complicates things further if timeline anomalies arise. The finale also introduced many loose ends, such as Sloane’s (Genesis Rodriguez) disappearance and why a Ben variation is in Seoul.

While there’s evidence of an intriguing story in season 4, there are still lingering concerns about how it will tie everything up. Every season tends to end on a cliffhanger and present further unsolvable paradoxes and anomalies, but now, the show has six episodes to conclude the story that has grown complicated with multiple alternate timelines.
