The Umbrella Academy season 3 saw Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) taking a dark turn and becoming a villain, but season 4 seems to be undoing this too quickly. Despite the success of its first three seasons, The Umbrella Academy is coming to an end with its fourth season, and it has a lot of questions to answer and mysteries to solve. The Umbrella Academy season 3 ended on a major cliffhanger after Reginald (Colm Feore) reset the timeline and designed one where he’s now the most powerful man.
In addition to that, the Umbrella members and Sparrow Ben realized they no longer have their powers in this timeline, while Allison reunited not only with her daughter but also with Ray, her husband from the 1960s. Allison getting what she wanted is most likely a result of her team-up with Reginald in The Umbrella Academy season 3, which was just a small part of her dark turn, as she did other, horrible things – but it seems like season 4 will quickly redeem her.

Umbrella Academy Season 4 Footage Shows Allison With Her Siblings
Netflix released the teaser for its 2024 films and TV shows, and among those set to be released this year is The Umbrella Academy season 4. The trailer gives brief looks at these movies and TV shows, and though the Umbrella Academy footage doesn’t give the plot away, it has given some hints of what’s to come in season 4. First, Five (Aidan Gallagher) and Viktor (Elliot Page) are shown clapping, followed by a scene with all the Hargreeves together (including Lila), taking a shot “for old time’s sake”.
Standing between Luther (Tom Hopper) and Klaus (Robert Sheehan) is Allison, pointing at her siblings forgiving her soon. In addition to agreeing to a still unknown deal with Reginald, Allison killed Harlan and delivered his body to the Sparrow Academy, she sexually assaulted Luther with her powers, and tried to sabotage the relationship between Luther and Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez). Allison has to redeem herself after everything she did, but it seems season 4 is forgiving her too fast and, possibly, too easily as well, which isn’t ideal.
How Will Allison Redeem Herself In The Umbrella Academy Season 4?
Although Allison did some truly horrible things in The Umbrella Academy season 3, the previous seasons showed that she has some redeeming qualities. Throughout season 1, Allison was the most compassionate of the team, doing her best to help Viktor and understand him, and in season 2, she fought for the rights of Black people. Surely, Allison has also made some selfish decisions, such as using her powers to get her ex-husband to love her and build her career as an actress, but she’s not evil at her core.
However, the severity of her actions makes her redemption really hard to sell, and The Umbrella Academy season 4 will have to be very smart in how Allison earns the forgiveness and trust of her siblings. Coming clean to her siblings about what she did and her deal with Reginald won’t be enough, and Allison will have to prove to her siblings that she’s fully on their side and can be trusted again.
Allison could help Luther find Sloane and could find a way for everyone to regain their powers, but still, redeeming herself shouldn’t be as easy as the first footage from The Umbrella Academy season 4 makes it look so far.
