The Traitors US season 2 pulled off an incredible twist in the premiere episode, asking the two selected traitors to pick a third person to join their treacherous team. With 21 reality TV and entertainment personalities vying for the final prize pot, The Traitors US season 2 has stepped up the game from the first iteration of the series. As a group of new faithful do their best to figure out who the traitors are through thorough investigation, the traitors will be working in tandem to eliminate the faithful from the game one by one, concealing their identity to the best of their ability until the game ends or they’re caught.
During the premiere episode, the cast of The Traitors US season 2 sat around the round table and donned their blindfolds for host Alan Cumming to select the traitors, but he shared that once the blindfolds were taken off that the team wasn’t quite complete. Though Big Brother legend Dan Gheesling and The Real Housewives Of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks were named the first two traitors in the game, the pair had the difficult task of choosing another traitor. After the pair met, they were able to decide who they thought the best fit to join the team would be.

Dan & Phaedra Chose To Recruit Survivor’s Parvati Shallow
Although there were many options discussed, only a few players stuck out as potential traitors to recruit. Dan was first considering his fellow Big Brother alum Janelle Pierzina. Knowing Janelle, he was able to vouch for her gameplay and chat through the idea of bringing her into the fold. He also brought up Survivor’s Sandra Diaz-Twine, as he felt she would have the makings of an incredible traitor. While Phaedra was able to help chat through the options, she didn’t have as much of a background in competitive reality TV, so she relied on Dan to decide for her. The pair chose Survivor legend Parvati Shallow to join the team.
Parvati Was Excited To Be Joining The Traitors Team
After serious consideration, Dan and Phaedra chose Parvati to join the traitors’ team. With her incredible Survivor gameplay familiar to Dan, he shared with Phaedra that he felt Parvati would be a great asset to their team, as she’s cut-throat and willing to do anything to win. Phaedra agreed, and Parvati was sent a note in secret. Ecstatic about the idea of playing the game in a duplicitous way, she was happy to be joining her fellow traitors in taking down the rest of The Traitors US season 2 cast. Parvati wasn’t able to learn the identities of her fellow traitors immediately but did her best to blend in.
While Dan, Parvati, and Phaedra are an elite group, all three are power players who have targets on their back from the start. The trio may be able to work together cohesively as traitors and will likely be equipped to take on the challenge of being traitors together, but things may get difficult as they try to keep a power balance between their three strong personalities. With The Traitors US season 2 just getting started, things are already heating up for the treacherous trio.
