The Traitors US: 8 Critical Scenes Season 2’s Editing Left Out

The Traitors US season 2 has been one of the most-watched reality TV competition series in Peacock’s history, but there are major parts of the narrative that the editors seem to be leaving on the cutting room floor. After the success of The Traitors US season 1 led to a win from Traitor and Survivor legend Cirie Fields, the series has taken a different approach to its casting and gameplay throughout the current season. With the shift in the cast of The Traitors US season 2 being comprised entirely of reality TV stars, things have been higher stakes and higher drama, which creates a huge task for the editing team.

With The Traitors US season 2 cast made up of reality TV legends and entertainment personalities, the series has been able to build on pre-existing relationships. From rivalries to romantic relationships, the series has incorporated some of the most fascinating social dynamics in reality TV into the current season, but some are disappointed that the series isn’t capitalizing on them in the best possible way. Rather than airing what’s actually happened in the castle, the series has built a narrative structure around the season they’ve felt the need to stick to, leaving many important interactions out of the show.
