Peacock has released The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2 trailer ahead of its June 23 premiere. Three of the seven episodes will drop on premiere day, with new episodes available to stream every Thursday after that. The Peacock original series had a successful debut season, which gathered eight current housewives for a lavish trip to Turks and Caicos.
Fans have been eager for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2. The first season saw popular current housewives Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Kyle Richards, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Teresa Guidice and Melissa Gorga let their hair down on the island. There was no shortage of drama in Ultimate Girls Trip Season 1. Peacock took a different approach with their franchise by allowing the cast to talk about their respective shows, break the fourth wall and host different themed parties for a bonding experience. The same formula that makes the Real Housewives franchise so great was still intact, with shade, fun and feuds.
Now Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 is bringing back the exes. Subtitled Ex-Wives Clubs, the newest iteration will bring back former housewives in all of their glory. The RHUGT season 2 cast consists of former The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Phaedra Parks and Eva Marcille, former The Real Housewives of Orange County stars Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Taylor Armstrong and Brandi Glanville, and former The Real Housewives of New York City stars Jill Zarin and Dorinda Medley. The Real Housewives‘ alumni are not hanging on yachts under the sun. This season, they are vacationing at Dorinda’s famous Blue Stone Manor home. Watch the trailer, as shared by Peacock, below:
“There is a lot of conflict between eight women,” Vicki says in the trailer. “The only conflict is you,” Eva replies. The tension is thick throughout the preview. The Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 cast is true to form as they attend multiple events that keep the drinks flowing and the drama going. Whereas RHUGT season 1 coupled housewives who were considered “besties,” Ex-Wives Club seem to have frenemies under one roof. It is no secret that most of these women had roller coaster friendships with their counterparts.
The Real Housewives franchise, which debuted in the mid-2000’s, has withstood the test of time in recent years and continues to find a way to bring in the ratings and keep viewers entertained. With fan-favorites returning for Ultimate Girls Trip, Peacock has found a series that works while building off of a popular genre. Talks are already underway among enthusiastic fans about who should join Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 3.
