Ashley Darby from The Real Housewives of Potomac shares two sons Dean and Dylan with her husband Michael Darby, and she has revealed that she doesn’t want to have more children. Ashley and Michael from RHOP had an unconventional relationship, but they tied the knot and became a monogamous couple who welcomed two baby boys. However, Michael was in the headlines a few times for allegedly having affairs with other men, although none of the accusations were proven. Ashley and Michael worked through their problems and made their relationship last, despite all the roadblocks.
Fans saw Ashley go through her pregnancy journey on RHOP. Ashley and Michael are proud parents of two-year-old Dean and eleven-month-old Dylan. Ashley was quite open about having trouble regaining her confidence after having children. After Dean was born, she lived with postpartum anxiety and constantly worried about the safety of her son. The beautiful reality star also found it hard to lose the baby weight and wanted to feel more atttractive to RHOP‘s Michael. She worked through those issues with her therapist.
Ashley shared with E! News that she was happy with her two boys and that she and Michael weren’t planning on having more kids. She said, “Michael and I made a deal to only have two kids. He’s already talking about a vasectomy.” She went on to say that Michael is almost 62 years old, while Ashley is 33. Ashley and Michael were co-owners of their restaurant Oz, which unfortunately closed down after four years of operation. The bright side was that Ashley was able to focus her time and energy on being a mother. “You know, a lot of milestones that kids have, their parents miss out on because they have to work or they have other obligations, but I don’t have any other place to be,” she shared.
Being in the public eye has had its share of difficulties for Ashley. Besides dealing with RHOP‘s Michael’s cheating rumors, Ashley stated that she sometimes has moments of regret over being a Housewife. “Whether I’m arguing with a friend, or one of my friendships has fallen out, whether I feel like an argument has gone too far [or] there’s something in my personal life, whether it’s family or my marriage or something. Yes, I do, I have like a little moment, every season,” she admitted. However, she still enjoys being on RHOP and thinks the viewers enjoy watching her on the show due to her “roller coaster life.”
Fans have loved watching Ashley embrace her role as a mom. She has said that being a mom has changed her life, and she loves doing fun activities such as sledding and building snowmen. Although she and RHOP‘s Michael had to adjust their relationship and expectations with each other, the two have managed to make it work.
