Tarot Cards are collectibles in The Quarry that can help increase the chances of saving characters if they are found and used correctly. Each Tarot Card can be collected and turned in to Eliza in between chapters. Turning in the Tarot Cards will reveal a possible future that players can try to avoid or ensure depending on what’s shown. There are 22 Tarot Cards that can be collected throughout the prologue and 10 chapters of the game.
The Tarot Cards will appear throughout the story and are indicated by an abrupt camera shift. As soon as a Tarot Card is revealed, players need to use the action button to collect it right away or it may burn up and disappear. Some Tarot Cards have very small windows where players can collect them, and one is even part of a cutscene. Finding all 22 Tarot Cards while playing The Quarry with friends or solo can be difficult, but it’s a good general rule to search in areas away from the main path.
After a Tarot Card is collected, players can use them in between chapters to view possible future events. However, there’s one Tarot Card, The Hierophant, that will stop players from using the other collectibles in chapter nine. Other than the Hierophant, every Tarot Card can be turned in at the end of each chapter to potentially gain some insight into how to save characters in The Quarry.
Every Tarot Card Location & Chapter In The Quarry
- The Fool (Prologue): While Laura is looking around in the woods, she will climb a small ledge, and the camera angle will change. The Tarot card can be seen as soon as the camera shifts.
- Temperance (Chapter One): When Jacob enters the lodge, players can go into the kitchen by going right after reaching the main room. Inside the kitchen, the Tarot Card can be seen near some pots.
- The Hanged Man (Chapter Two): In chapter two, The Quarry’s Abi and Nick will search for firewood. When prompted, players will need to choose the rocky road, then the path on the left. The camera will shift revealing the Tarot Card for players to collect.
- The Tower (Chapter Three): At the beginning of chapter three, Abi will go into the woods alone, and will eventually start to hear whispers. After the cutscene occurs, Abi can continue forward until the perspective changes, then the Tarot Card will be on a tree trunk.
- The Star (Chapter Three): This Tarot Card can be collected as soon as Jacob goes toward the canoes near the boathouse entrance.
- The Magician (Chapter Four): While playing as Emma, players can turn around and go to the end of the pier. There’s a cutscene that plays before reaching the end. After it concludes, Emma can keep walking to reach another Tarot Card that can help players get the best ending in The Quarry.
- Strength (Chapter Four): This Tarot Card can only be collected during the cutscene after taking control of Dylan and going to the lodge. The Strength Tarot Card needs to be collected quickly before the camera angle shifts.
- The Devil (Chapter Five): While exploring outside the camp cabins, Dylan can collect The Devil Tarot Card near the picnic tables. Speaking to Ryan will automatically progress the story, so the Tarot Card needs to be collected first.
- The Hermit (Chapter Five): The Hermit can be found by walking on the left side of the radio hut and going behind the building.
- Justice (Chapter Six): After Jacob goes across the wooden bridge, he can head down the stairs and immediately go left to find the Tarot Card.
- The Moon (Chapter Six): When Abi is exploring the bathroom, she can go into the middle stall to find The Moon Tarot Card. This must be done before finding, comforting, and trying to save Nick in The Quarry.
- The World (Chapter Seven): If Laura stands in the far-left corner of the cell the first time she’s able to walk around, then The Moon Tarot Card will be revealed for players to collect.
- The Chariot (Chapter Seven): Once Laura can leave the cell, players should walk in between the desks to get the camera angle to shift so The Chariot Tarot Card is revealed.
- The Lovers (Chapter Eight): The Lovers can be found after Ryan and Laura fall and the cutscene showing the railing breaking ends in The Quarry. Just ahead, there’s a small piece of the platform that extends out to the left, and walking on it will reveal The Lovers Tarot Card.
- Wheel of Fortune (Chapter Eight): Once the boards near the cave-in warning are cleared, the Wheel of Fortune Tarot Card can be found on the left.
- The Empress (Chapter Eight): After reaching the Hacketts’ basement as Ryan, players can go into the room on the left and walk toward the chairs to collect The Empress Tarot Card.
- The Emperor (Chapter Eight): From the entrance of the Hacketts’ basement, Ryan can walk straight past the room with The Empress and in between the shelves of wooden barrels. The Emperor Tarot Card will be revealed near the end of the narrow path.
- Death (Chapter Nine): After Constance attacks Laura in The Quarry, players will take over Ryan, and he can immediately go to the middle of the room to reveal the Death Tarot Card.
- The Sun (Chapter Nine): After Laura passes the piano and heads upstairs, players can go left until reaching some large windows. The Sun Tarot Card can be collected near the first window.
- Judgment (Chapter Nine): While playing as Dylan, players will open up the main part of the Scrapyard, then they’ll need to go down the path on the left. After the cutscene plays showing some of the lights turning on, Dylan can use the stairs on the left to get on top of the shipping containers. The Judgement Tarot Card will be on the left near the middle of the platform.
- The Hierophant (Chapter Nine): Acquiring The Hierophant will eliminate the opportunity to use any of the other Tarot Cards found in chapter nine because it initiates a special cutscene with Eliza. To find The Hierophant, Abigail, who may die in this chapter of The Quarry, will need to go toward the stairs for the storm shelter, then the camera will shift to reveal the Tarot Card.
- The High Priestess (Chapter Ten): The last Tarot Card can be found while playing as Kaitlyn in the lodge. Kaitlyn can reach the third floor by taking the stairs inside the room above the kitchen. On the third floor, Kaitlyn can go to the left to collect The High Priestess Tarot Card. This must be done before preparing for the final battle at the end of The Quarry.
