The Office: Chris Evans Reacts to One of Jim & Pam’s Most Emotional Scenes

In a recent tweet from Chris Evans, The Avengers actor has reacted to a tender moment from The Office involving Jim and Pam. Despite being done with the MCU, Evans will once again work with Marvel stalwarts the Russo Brothers in their upcoming thriller The Grey Man. He will also replace Tim Allen as the voice of space ranger Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Toy Story spin-off, Lightyear.

The Office is a workplace mockumentary that ran between 2005 and 2013 that follows the lives of a group of office employees working for a paper supplier based in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The show was a critical and commercial success, earning five Emmy’s and helping to make the likes of Steve Carrell, Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski household names. A large part of The Office‘s appeal was the relationship between Jim and Pam, with many episodes centering on their will-they-won’t-they romance. Even all these years later, the relationship between Jim and Pam is still loved by fans – and Chris Evans is one of them.

In a recent post on Twitter, Evans recalls the events of the season 5 episode, “Baby Shower”. In the episode, couple Jim and Pam have an off day after failing to properly convey messages to each other while living long distance, leading to several awkward calls between the usually besotted pair. As highlighted by Evans’ tweet, in the end, they both leave almost identical voicemails to each other in a heartwarming display of the pair’s connection. Check out his tweet, below:

Evans’ tweet, while highlighting a sweet moment for the pair, is just the tip of the iceberg in a long history of heartwarming moments for the couple. Perhaps the most significant scene in their relationship, the proposal, was also one of The Office‘s most expensive, proving that the producers weren’t afraid to splash out to ensure Jim and Pam’s biggest moments paid off. Even in a divisive storyline from The Office season 9, the pair worked out even the most difficult of their problems, solidifying themselves as one of TV’s most loveable couples.

Despite eight years passing since the last The Office episode aired, calls for the cast to return to the show are still insistent on social media. Over the years, several spin-offs and reboots have been proposed or hinted at, but nothing has come to fruition. Most recently, NBC content chief Susan Rovner has said that NBC is open to a The Office reboot if showrunner Greg Daniels is. Unfortunately, Daniels is currently busy working with Carrell on his new comedy series Space Force, so the likelihood of a The Office reboot anytime soon is, sadly, unlikely.
