Announced via a report from Deadline, the first new Suits TV show from the original creator since 2019’s spinoff Pearson will reportedly be a new show set in the Suits universe rather than a reboot or revival. The report describes the model as similar to NCIS or CSI shows, with LA being considered as a setting and a cast that’s mostly or exclusively new characters.

The cast of Aaron Korsh’s new Suits show hasn’t been announced. Given how early the project is in development it almost definitely hasn’t been finalized yet, too. Most speculation is on whether members of the Suits cast like Gabriel Macht as Harvey, Sarah Rafferty as Donna, or Patrick J. Adams as Mike will be present. It’s impossible to say at this point, but what’s been teased so far both supports the prospect of their return and hints they may not.
The new Suits show has been billed as a new story in the world of Suits. Aaron Korsh has been clear that it’s not a reboot, nor is it the long-awaited Suits revival. Since it’s not a revival it means it’s unlikely that the core cast will be made up of returning Suits alumni. It will be easier to predict whether Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, or Patrick J. Adams will be in the new Suits show once more has been revealed about it. Presently it’s too unknown to speculate. One thing that is all but guaranteed, however, is that there will be new cast members joining the Suits universe. It’s also unlikely Meghan Markle will be present as Rachel given that she appears to have taken a step back from acting since marrying the U.K.’s Prince Harry.
