Disney has had a lot of fun promoting The Muppets movie. First there was The Hangover parody trailer. Then, there was the Green Lantern parody trailer. After that, there was a spoof of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. As the Swedish Chef might say, there was a smorgasbord of parody trailers for Muppets fans to enjoy. (Here at Screen Rant, we even got into the act ourselves with a mash-up of The Muppets and The Avengers.)
That all seemed to come to an end last month when Disney put out what we thought was the final parody trailer – a mega spoof that riffed on Paranormal Activity, Twilight, Happy Feet, and more. However, while that trailer was billed as the last, it turns out that there was actually one more: a Bollywood spoof.
Interestingly, unlike the other trailers which incorporated new footage with movie footage for the parody, this UK spoof trailer is just scenes from the film set to Bollywood-style music. Nevertheless, it’s still a lot of fun to watch and a great way to repurpose the cheery song and dance footage from the movie. Check out the trailer below.

While the trailers for The Muppets have been a lot of fun and have done a great job in creating buzz for the movie, the true test will come this Thanksgiving when the film actually hits theaters. Do The Muppets still have what it takes to bring in audiences? I think the answer is yes, and here’s why.
Family films often do well at the box office, but they sometimes fail to bring in regular adult audiences. That shouldn’t be a problem for The Muppets which has the good fortune of being beloved by multiple generations of viewers. Whether you’re 50 or 15, there’s a good chance you’ve seen The Muppets before and (assuming you have a soul) have liked them.
Plus, there’s strong talent involved, meaning it will likely be more than just a fun piece of nostalgia. Between the light-hearted trailers and the various clips from The Muppets that we’ve seen so far, it seems like director James Bobin and screenwriters Nicholas Stoller and Jason Segel (who also stars in the film) have kept the spirit of Jim Henson’s original show alive while also making it modern – combining tongue-in-cheek satire, slapstick comedy, and genuinely warm emotional storytelling.
And then of course there’s all the cameos in the film (which include Jack Black, Zach Galifianakis, Danny Trejo, Wanda Sykes, Neil Patrick Harris, Ed Helms, Mila Kunis, Sarah Silverman, Whoopi Goldberg, Rashida Jones, and more). Oh, and did I mention “fart shoes”? If all those things don’t spell box office success, I don’t know what does.
The word “epic” gets thrown around a lot here on the Internet, but I really mean it when I say I hope The Muppets has an epic opening weekend. Will you be in attendance at The Muppets this holiday season?
