The Most Irritating Real Housewives Taglines According To Fans

Taglines have been around since The Real Housewives franchise launched, and some are more popular than others. Initially, they didn’t hold much weight, but in recent years, fans have analyzed certain signature one-liners to determine how things might unfold for each cast member on any given show. In the eyes of fans, some taglines are definitely not winners.

Taglines from The Real Housewives have sparked a niche subculture, with celebrities coming up with their own one-liners, and memes being made about current taglines. Fans are always excited to find out what their favorite housewives come up with. Some one-liners have stood the test of time over many years, through multiple seasons, due to being iconic, memorable, and quotable. These taglines are a great reflection of the housewives that they represent.

As much as there is hype and love for taglines, season after season, some just don’t stick. They might not represent a housewife effectively, or just aren’t catchy enough. Reddit user reddityouwroteyou took to the platform to see which taglines fans might have found the most irritating, and there were plenty of responses. Criticized one-liners from the past were uttered by the likes of Kristen Taekman, Kyle Richards and more.

“Some people are born great, and some are born Jersey.” – Melissa Gorga (RHONJ)

Melissa Gorga’s tagline from The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 is one that some fans can’t stand. Reddit user dngaay says that the reality star is unintentionally putting herself down. Even a New Jersey local chipped in (mamayogibear), saying, “as someone from NJ, I loathe this line.”

“I’m an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, and cash.” – Erika Jayne (RHOBH)

This is an example of a tagline that, to put it lightly, didn’t age well, considering the situation that Erika found herself in a few years later. Erika’s tagline from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 6 gave Reddit user young_coastie “chills,” and not in a good way. Fellow user youngestsibling123 joked that “the riddle was just theft,” referencing Erika’s infamous legal battle, which involves her ex-husband, Tom Girardi.

All of Heather Thomson’s “Holla” taglines (RHONY)

Heather Thomson from The Real Housewives of New York City got on many fans’ nerves. One reason why was her attempt at making “holla” her catchphrase, to the point that she seemed to add the word to all her taglines, throughout her time on RHONY. Reddit user Icy-Replacement5519 said they stopped watching the show because they found her insufferable. Meanwhile, user silverkava believed that every one of her taglines ending in “holla” was awful.

A good tagline can be inspiring. However, on The Real Housewives, cast members sometimes don’t hit the target with their offerings. While many taglines have made an impact by being edgy, iconic, or hilarious, there are others that some viewers would rather forget. Either way though, these The Real Housewives taglines have left their mark, for better or worse.
