With 2023 begun and another season of The Bachelor starting in just a few weeks, the Bachelor Nation drama of 2022 is in the rearview, but fans will not forget all of what went down in the previous year anytime soon. Every year, there seems to be new drama surrounding Bachelor Nation, and although not all the excitement entails bad moments, the fans of the series are always kept on their toes with what plays out. Now, some of the most dramatic moments — good and bad — from Bachelor Nation in 2022 are being talked about.
While the final rose led to several splits, and even a cheating scandal, other former Bachelor and Bachelorette leads were able to find happiness, including via Bachelor in Paradise, in the past year. While many fans love the drama, they were also excited to see some of the Bachelor Nation happy again. Here are some of the most dramatic moments of 2022.
Clayton Sleeps With 2 Women
During his time as the lead on The Bachelor, Clayton Echard admitted to his two finalists that he was intimate with both of them, but in love with another finalist, Susie Evans, who had quit the competition prior to the rose ceremony. This was met with much backlash from the fans as they didn’t like the way Clayton handled the situation. In the end, Clayton chose Susie at the final rose ceremony, only to be rejected by her. However, Clayton and Susie later reconciled after The Bachelor had wrapped production on their season, only to ultimately break up again.
JoJo & Jordan Finally Get Married
After Jordan Rodgers won JoJo Fletcher’s final rose on season 12 of The Bachelorette, the pair had to call off their wedding multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the couple officially said “I do” on May 14, 2022. They wed in Santa Ynez, California, with members of Bachelor Nation in attendance.
Brandon & Serene Get Engaged
After meeting and hitting it off right away on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, Brandon Jones and Serene Russell were inseparable throughout their time on the show. The season ended with Brandon getting down on one knee and proposing to Serene. It was revealed in the finale that the couple was offered to get married right down on the beach by Jesse Palmer. However, Brandon and Serene decided not to get married right then and are still engaged to this day.
Tino Cheats On Rachel
After Tino Franco won Rachel Racchia’s final rose on The Bachelorette season 19, the pair split shortly after filming wrapped. During the live finale, it was revealed that Tino kissed another girl while going through a rough patch with Rachel. This was met with a lot of backlash from viewers and Bachelor Nation alum. In the end, Rachel had nothing to say to her ex-fiance after their conversation on the “After the Final Rose” episode of The Bachelor‘s spin-off.
