The Masked Singer Season 8 Guest Panelists Include Miss Piggy

Another Muppet is making its way to The Masked Singer as Miss Piggy joins the celebrity competition show as a guest panelist. During the Masked Singer season 5 premiere, Snail performed a rendition of “You Make My Dreams” by Hall & Oates. Unfortunately, the contestant was the first of the season to be eliminated, but during his reveal, the panelists and fans were shocked to see Kermit the Frog pop out of the large costume. Fans have argued that the Sesame Street character is the most famous contestant to ever appear on the series due to The Muppets‘ international fame and success.

During each season of The Masked Singer, a few guest panelists join regulars Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger. Joel McHale has been a regular guest panelist since the beginning, only skipping out on The Masked Singer seasons 6 and 7, leading some fans to believe he may have been one of the contestants. According to the official Masked Singer season 8 trailer, the comedian will be making his comeback appearance when the season airs. Other guest panelists throughout the seasons have included Leslie Jordan, Masked Singer season 1 winner T-Pain and Jamie Foxx, the latter of which is an actor the panelists regularly guess for contestants.

Miss Piggy is now joining the famous faces as one of the Masked Singer season 8 guest panelists. Masked Clips on YouTube shared a new promo for The Masked Singer season 8, which revealed the diva will be joining the panelists in guessing which celebrities are behind the elaborate costumes. The teaser announced the season will have more stars than ever before, revealing clips of Joel, Leslie, Miss Piggy and Masked Singer season 1 finalist Donny Osmond. No other information about her appearance was revealed in the teaser, but it will be fun to see the famous pig interact with Robin, Jenny, Ken and Nicole.

Fans are already excited about the season based on the first trailer. The costumes for The Masked Singer season 8 seem more extravagant than ever, and fans are hoping the celebrities behind them will do them justice. Fans were disappointed in The Masked Singer season 7, admitting they found the celebrities underwhelming. They were also furious about the inclusion of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. It seems the show has stepped up since last season and is ready to win back the approval of fans.

Miss Piggy’s high-maintenance attitude will make a hilarious addition to the panelists’ table. It’ll be especially fun to see her and Jenny interact. Hopefully, her ex-boyfriend Kermit doesn’t return to the stage and make things awkward. It’s going to be hard for any of the contestants to upstage this Muppet, so hopefully, producers found some impressive celebrities this season. Fans have high hopes, so The Masked Singer better be willing to deliver.

The Masked Singer season 8 premieres Wednesday, September 21 at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
