Seal’s Girl Group Performances & Clues

During The Masked Singer season 11 Girl Group Night, Seal came out dancing. Robin commented that he was tall. Seal sang a rock version of “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips. His clue package began with a voiceover saying, “For thousands of years, it was buried in the ice, waiting for the perfect time to strike. Beware the Seal.” An excavation site on a snowy mountain was shown as this voiceover played. Then Seal popped up from behind a block of ice in a laboratory and said, “Hey guys! What’s all the fuss about?”

Seal began by saying, “Just like a seal, I’m cute, cuddly, and friendly.” He then walked by an unburied treasure chest with gold with a red jewel in it. Seal then looked at some beakers, including one bubbling with red liquid. As he adjusted dials on a machine, he said, “It would make sense I’m the Wild Card because I was mistakenly perceived as a wild child. Seal then picked up a driver’s license that said “Antarctica” on it, along with his name and picture.

Seal continued,You all may know me from your screens, radios, or posters tacked up on your walls. A picture of Seal with fangs was then shown. Sean then went outside and said, “And I’m so excited to be here on Girl Group Night ’cause I was in one of the most famous groups in the world. A stuffed animal of a polar bear was then shown. Seal concluded by saying, “And now I’ll get your seal of approval with a girl group anthem by some fabulous Masked Singer alums.” The clue package ended with him throwing a snowball at the screen.

After Seal’s performance, another clue was revealed about his identity. The Cheetah Girls’ Raven-Symoné, who was The Masked Singer season 2’s Black Widow, delivered the clue, as part of Clue-E-Oke. Raven sang a girl group song that was a clue to Seal’s true identity, which was “Bo$$” by Fifth Harmony. Seal explained, Well, you know, it’s easy to be confident when you have a boss like Steven Spielberg!

Although Seal had a fantastic performance, he found himself in the Smackdown versus Miss Cleocatra, while Gumball and Beets moved on to the Group B finals. Seal and Miss Cleocatra both sang their own unique renditions of “Waterfalls” by TLC, with Miss Cleocatra singing a jazz version, while Seal sang a rock rendition of the R&B classic. They both had dazzling performances, but Seal made it through to the Group B finals, while Miss Cleocatra was unmasked and revealed to be actress Jenifer Lewis.

Seal’s Identity Predictions

The Masked Singer season 11 panelists had many strong guesses for Seal’s identity. Ken used the Steven Spielberg clue to guess that Seal might be Haley Joel Osment. Before Seal had begun singing, Rita told her fellow panelists that she might “fancy” him, and that she was “feeling a connection.” Rita then jokingly wondered if Seal was her husband, Taika Waititi. Jenny thought that Seal might be someone from The Goonies, and guessed Corey Feldman. However, Robin thought of a different Goonie, Sean Astin.

As a Wild Card contestant, Seal shook up the competition by winning the Smackdown versus Jenifer Lewis’ fabuous Miss Cleocatra. He was the only Wild Card to make it through to the next round, as Group A’s DeMarcus Ware as Koala and Group C’s Billy Bush as Sir Lion were eliminated after their first performances.
