The Masked Singer: Harp & Lambs’ Identity Prediction & Clues

The Masked Singer: Harp & Lambs’ Identity Prediction & Clues

The Masked Singer season 8 semi-finals crowned Harp and Lambs as the finalists. Harp was a front-runner from the start. Most fans assume she’ll take home the masked trophy. Snowstorm was also a semi-finalist, but her vocals weren’t strong enough to beat the Harp or Lambs.

Snowstorm debuted during Comedy Roast night and had a lot of jokes for the panelists and host Nick Cannon. Panelists assumed she was a comedian, but only Jenny McCarthy guessed Nikki Glaser. She was pretty easy to guess as she gave some obvious clues. Fans also have a pretty good idea who’s behind Harp and Lambs.

Harp’s Clues Lead To This Glee Actress

The Masked Singer: Harp & Lambs’ Identity Prediction & Clues

Harp offered many clues that give away her identity. Harp says she was rejected from a world-famous TV show but was later offered another show that changed her life. On this show, her uniqueness landed her the role and helped other outsiders feel less alone. Her clue packages have included a witch hat, a pair of 3D glasses, and theater binoculars. In later clue packages, Harp’s clues have included a Night Night CD, a Christmas cupcake, and a #1 Trophy. She also mentioned she met Oprah.

Since Harp first appeared on stage performing “Perfect” by Pink, Glee fans quickly recognized her voice, and even cast members from the show are sure Amber Riley is in the Harp costume. Amber auditioned for American Idol when she was a teenager and went on to book Glee. The show centered around a Glee club where everyone felt like an outsider and even had a song called “Loser Like Me” where they embraced their differences. The show was so popular they did a Glee tour which was later turned into a 3D movie. Amber’s other endeavors included the West End production of Dream Girls, which correlates with the theater binoculars and the Night Night CD. While the witch hat made panelists think of Wicked, it actually hints at Amber’s role in The Wiz Live! on NBC in 2015. The Christmas cupcake likely points to the Christmas movies Amber’s done, and the trophy could be any of the awards she’s won. As for the Oprah shoutout, Amber has been featured on OWN quite a few times. The Masked Singer panelists have guessed Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, but Nicole Scherzinger is set on Amber as her top guess.

A 90s Girl Group Is Likely Behind Lambs

While The Chicks seems like an easy guess, the clues actually point to a different girl group. According to their first clue package, the three grew up together in Beverly Hills. They said they had a successful career in music and on the screen. They offered a pair of jeans with the word “famous” written on them and a diamond ring as clues. The clue package took place on a golf course which seems like a major hint. After their performance, the singers told panelists that Paul McCartney is the biggest celebrity they’ve worked with. Later clue packages had clues like a platinum-class plane ticket.

There is only one group all the clues match up with, and it’s Wilson Phillips. The group is made up of Chynna Phillips and Carnie and Wendy Wilson, the daughters of John and Michelle Phillips from the Mamas & the Papas and Brian Wilson from The Beach Boys. This explains their Beverly Hills clue and their famous jeans clue, which points to them having fame in their genes. They had a successful music career but also appeared in the 2011 film Bridesmaids, which explains the diamond ring hint. Carnie also had her own talk show at one point, and the golf course clue package location could hint at Chynna’s appearance in Caddyshack II. As for their ties to Paul, the group did backup vocals on his 2015 collaboration with Rihanna and Kanye West, FourFiveSeconds. The group also has a platinum album. The Masked Singer panelists were hooked on The Chicks and The Spice Girls until Robin Thicke suggested Wilson Phillips.

Whoever the contestants are, they are extremely talented and deserve to be in the finals. Fans can’t wait to see them go head-to-head. They’re also excited to find out their identities. However, it seems pretty clear who is behind the costumes.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 pm EST on Fox.
