The Masked Singer: First Ever Celebrity Duo Slated To Compete

Throughout the year-and-a-half that The Masked Singer has been on, fans have seen countless celebrities appear on the show, and now, for the first time ever, a duo will appear on the stage in the same costume. The Masked Singer celebs run the gamut, from NFL Hall of Famers to comedians to rappers and talk show hosts. The show typically revolves around one person who is hidden inside a costume, face covered by a mask.

When The Masked Singer season four debuts on FOX in the coming weeks, viewers can expect to hear not one, but two voices. They will be able to see the two-headed Snow Owl onstage, performing for the panel of judges and the virtual audience. This will make it a lot harder for the judges and viewers at home to guess who will be under the two-headed mask. Now, people need to guess two celebrities instead of one.

As per the rules of The Masked Singer, no one will know which two celebrities are going to be under the mask, according to E Online, but many are already speculating that it could be members from a former or current musical group or duo. Past seasons of the show have seen former girl group members such as Adrienne Bailon and Raven-Symoné (both formerly of The Cheetah Girls) compete. It wouldn’t be unlikely for the show to have other musicians on the show.

The Snow Owl’s costume will be among other anonymous The Masked Singer celebrities competing in costumes such as The Lips, The Baby Alien, The Giraffe, and the Popcorn once the show returns. The show will have viewers and the returning panel of Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Robin Thicke chanting “Take It Off” once the celebrity is eliminated from the show. Then, the unmasked singer will reveal who has been hiding under the mask all along. In the years that The Masked Singer has been on, many of the celebrities competing have managed to stump the panel of judges but that’s not always the case, as some of the judges have guessed who was under the mask correctly. Will that be the case for the two-headed Snow Owl?

The Masked Singer will look a lot different to keep everyone safe due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but viewers will still have fun guessing who is behind the mask once the show returns. Fans can watch a super sneak peek of The Masked Singer on Sunday, September 13 at 8 PM EST on Fox, before the show moves back to its regular time slot of 8 PM EST on Wednesday, September 23.
