The Masked Singer: Crocodile, Mushroom & Sun Revealed In Finale

Tonight, The Masked Singer season four came to an end. Mushroom, Crocodile, and Sun took to the stage one last time to battle it out for the win. Of course, there can only be one champion. This season, Sun snagged the coveted Golden Mask trophy. Leading up to her win, the final three contestants also removed their masks, at last revealing the final celebrities left in the competition.

Last week, fans watched an epic triple elimination to thin out the ranks of the competitors before the finale. Popcorn, Jellyfish, and Seahorse all bid adieu to The Masked Singer stage, but not before they revealed their identities. After singing “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars, Seahorse was sent home, revealing singer and actress Tori Kelly. Following Seahorse’s high-energy performance, Jellyfish gave a sweet rendition of “Stay” by Rihanna. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stay in the competition, and Jellyfish removed her mask to reveal Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim. Last, Popcorn sang “Better Be Good To Me” by Tina Turner. Though she sounded like the original Tina, Popcorn shed her mask to reveal singer and songwriter Taylor Dayne.

This week, Crocodile, Mushroom, and Sun all took The Masked Singer stage for the final time. Crocodile started the performances with his rendition of “Open Arms” by Journey. While his performance was typically impressive for the contestant, it didn’t land him enough votes to cement a win. Instead, Crocodile finished in third place. Though the judges guessed Nick Lachey, Jordan Knight, and Howie D., Crocodile removed his mask to reveal Backstreet Boys band member Nick Carter.

Mushroom took the stage after Crocodile, performing his daughter’s favorite song: “I Wish” by Stevie Wonder. His performance landed him in second place. Before he removed his mask, Jenny McCarthy guessed Ne-Yo was hiding under the lovable fungi, while Ken Jeong insisted it was Pharrell. Nicole Sherzinger and Robin Thicke both guessed Aloe Blacc. Mushroom then removed his mask, revealing musician Aloe Blacc and proving Nicole and Robin right.

Finally, Sun had her moment to shine onstage. For her final performance, she chose “The Story” by Brandi Carlile. Apparently, her song choice was perfect, as Sun was chosen as the winner of season four. As she received the Golden Mask, she also revealed her identity to the audience. Though the judges guessed Mandy Moore and Katharine McPhee, Sun removed her mask to reveal superstar LeAnn Rimes.

With that, The Masked Singer season four is officially over. After yet another season of confusing clues and exciting reveals, fans can’t wait for the premiere of season five, which is rumored to be returning in the spring.
