Many of these planets are unique and home to both a variety of fun characters and evil threats.

Not only are many of the planets introduced in The Mandalorian beautiful, but some even have unresolved plotlines left for Din Djarin to wrap up. This could successfully be explored in the movie or other content further down the line. Regardless, these planets offer the perfect backdrop for Din’s and Grogu’s adventures to continue across the stars.

Everything We Know About The Mandalorian & Grogu Movie

The Mandalorian’s story will continue with a Star Wars movie. Here’s everything we know about the project, including cast, release, and timeline.

11 Arvala-7

First Appeared: Season 1, Episode 1 “Chapter 1: The Mandalorian”

Arvala-7 as seen in The Mandalorian

Perhaps the most important planet visited throughout the entirety of The Mandalorian, Arvala-7 is the planet on which Din Djarin met his foundling, Grogu. Similar to the famous Tatooine and situated on the Outer Rim, Arvala-7 was also home to Ugnaught Kuiil. The massive deserts of the planet were inspired by and filmed in Death Valley National Park, which was also the location in which Tatooine was filmed in A New Hope, adding to the grandness of the planet’s dunes and mountain ranges.

How To Watch Star Wars Movies In Order

Here is how to watch all Star Wars movies and TV shows chronologically and in order of release, and how each fits into the Star Wars timeline.

10 Karthon

First Appeared: Season 2, Episode 7 “Chapter 15: The Believer”

The Karthon Chop Fields as featured in The Mandalorian season 2

The Chop Fields of Karthon are another iconic sight from the show, serving as a prison moon run by the New Republic. On this moon, prisoners would dismantle what was once Imperial machinery. Migs Mayfield was once a prisoner here as well, before being put into the care of Cara Dune. With such a heavy Imperial presence, a return to Karthon and the prison held on the moon’s surface could mean interesting things for the story of the franchise going forward.

9 Sorgan

First Appeared: Season 1, Episode 4 “Chapter 4: Sanctuary”

The Razor Crest soars above the planet of Sorgan and its trees and ponds in The Mandalorian season 1, episode 4

Although the planet Sorgan is sparsely populated and consists mostly of primitive huts and farmland, the thick forests found on the planet are inspiring when seen up close and from afar. Din Djarin and Grogu spend plenty of time on this planet along with Cara Dune, putting an end to raids on a small farming village. Though the planet played a small part in the TV show, it could always play a bigger part in any upcoming movies, especially if they choose to bring back the farmer Omera and her daughter Winta.

8 Morak

First Appeared: Season 2, Episode 7 “Chapter 15: The Believer”

Operating as a secret mining planet for the Galactic Empire, Morak was under a great deal of Imperial influence even after the fall of the Empire. Din Djarin went on a mission to the planet with Migs Mayfield, one that saw him breaking his Creed and taking off his helmet. Hawaii was a big inspiration for Morak, more specifically the Tetsuo Harano Tunnels where some scenes involving Morak’s greenery were filmed, creating the lush jungles seen on the planet. It’s likely that this planet could play a big role in the movie, whether it be for Mayfeld or for Imperial remnants.

7 Karnac

First Mentioned: Season 1, Episode 3 “Chapter 3: The Sin”

Din Djarin and Greef Karga talk about Karnac in The Mandalorian season 1

In all the Star Wars franchise, the only thing that points to Karnac’s existence is a brief mention of it in a conversation between Greef Karga and Din Djarin. In this scene, the Mandalorian takes a job to retrieve the son of a Mon Calamari noble, though he never ends up making it to the planet. The Mandalorian & Grogu could be a good opportunity to finally see what Karnac looks like, either because of the job or for another reason entirely.

6 Adelphi

First Appeared: Season 3, Episode 5 “Chapter 21: The Pirate”

The New Republic base on Adelphi as shown in The Mandalorian season 3, episode 5

The planet Adelphi is a tropical planet host to a New Republic base, frequented by both Captain Carson Teva and Garazeb Orrelios. The two meet at a bar on the base before Captain Teva receives a message from Greef Karga, explaining that the planet of Nevarro is being attacked by pirates. The landscape is full of beaches with palm trees dotting the landscape, more than likely because the studio that makes The Mandalorian is located in Los Angeles – though, like Morak, it could also be inspired by Hawaii.

5 Trask

First Appeared: Season 2, Episode 3 “Chapter 11: The Heiress”

The moon of Trask in The Mandalorian season 2

Trask is a unique planet in The Mandalorian, covered completely in water and full of life. Home to the Frog Lady that Din Djarin meets on his travels, this planet is the one on which Din and Grogu initially meet Bo-Katan Kryze and her group of Nite Owls. The planet is similar to other estuary planets like Kamino and takes inspiration from the likes of the Pamukkale site in Turkey, and it could be an interesting place for Star Wars to visit again in the future if the backdrop of a water planet should be beneficial to the story.

4 Plazir-15

First Appeared: Season 3, Episode 6 “Chapter 22: Guns For Hire”

Best known as the planet ruled by The Duchess and Captain Bombardier, played by Lizzo and Jack Black respectively, Plazir-15 is a planet ruled by pacifism and plurality. Bo-Katan Kryze and Din Djarin visited in an attempt to reunite the different Mandalorian factions under one flag, as her former Nite Owls were stationed on the planet. The rulers of Plazir-15 have said that they will support Mandalore’s bid for independence, so there is a high chance that viewers could see this planet, or at least the planet’s rulers, some time in the future.

3 Corvus

First Appeared: Season 2, Episode 5 “Chapter 13: The Jedi”

Corvus as seen in The Mandalorian season 2

Modeled after imperial Japan in an episode inspired by the films of Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa, Corvus is the eerie fog-covered planet on which Din Djarin meets Ahsoka Tano. After being contracted to kill her by Morgan Elsbeth, a character that went on to be much more important in the television series Ahsoka, Din eventually joins forces with Ahsoka to take back the city of Calodan. The planet is one of the most interesting and unique aesthetically in recent memory, making it a good choice to return to down the line.

2 Nevarro

First Appeared: Season 1, Episode 1 “Chapter 1: The Mandalorian”

It is inevitable that Din Djarin and Grogu will return to Nevarro in The Mandalorian & Grogu. Not only is it the planet where Greef Karga lives, but it is also the planet where many of the Mandalorians made their home base before their journey to the planet Mandalore. With lava floes inspired by those seen on the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii, the landscape is just varied enough to make repeat visits to the planet continue to feel interesting.

1 Aq Vetina

First Appeared: Season 1, Episode 1 “Chapter 1: The Mandalorian”

Din Djarin's homeworld of Aq Vetina in The Mandalorian season 1

Aq Vetina is most well known for being the planet where Din Djarin was born. Because it only appears in flashbacks and is never visited in the series, a return to Aq Vetina could mean big things both for Din Djarin as a character and for the Star Wars franchise as a whole. This would be the perfect place for viewers to finally learn more about the Mandalorian’s past in The Mandalorian & Grogu, fleshing out his character and how he was brought to the Children of the Watch even more.
