The Last of Us season 2 has gained four new cast members. The Last of Us season 2 will continue Joel and Ellie’s season 1 story as it takes on the plot of The Last of Us: Part Two video game. The Last of Us season 2 is set to begin production this spring and premiere in 2025.
As per Max, The Last of Us adds four new cast members for season 2. These cast members are to include Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, and Spencer Lord.
As confirmed by Variety, Ramirez will play the role of Manny and Barer will play Mel. Gabrielle will play the role of Nora and Lord will play Owen.
Who Else Is In The Last of Us Season 2?
These four new The Last of Us season 2 actors bring with them a wide array of experience from high-profile shows. Ramirez is an MCU actor known for his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Lord is known for The Good Doctor and Riverdale, and Gabrielle is in You. Barer got a breakout role recently as one of the main characters in the eco-thrilled How to Blow Up a Pipeline.
Ramirez, Gabrielle, Lord, and Barer will all play familiar characters from The Last of Us: Part Two game. To those who have not played the games, The Last of Us team offered character descriptions. Manny, for instance, is described as “a loyal soldier whose sunny outlook belies the pain of old wounds and a fear that he will fail his friends when they need him most.” Gabrielle’s Nora is said to be “a military medic struggling to come to terms with the sins of her past.”
The four new actors join an expanding cast of The Last of Us season 2. These existing cast members include the return of Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, and the addition of actors Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, and Young Mazino. The latter three actors will play the roles of Abby, Dina, and Jesse, respectively. The casting in The Last of Us season 2 has been subject to some criticism, so it will be interesting to see what the reaction to the recently-added cast members will be.

Joel (Pedro Pascal) agrees to smuggle a 14-year-old girl named Ellie (Bella Ramsey) out of a quarantine zone, only to discover she may be the key to discovering a cure. The Last of Us TV series is a collaborative effort between one of the original creators, Neil Druckmann, and the creator of the award-winning HBO series Chernobyl.
