Kardashian-Jenner fans all over the world were crushed when the reality show that launched the family into household names was canceled in 2021, but now Hulu has finally released the first trailer for their new show, The Kardashians. In September 2020, the Kardashian-Jenner’s dropped news no one saw coming — that Keeping Up With The Kardashians would be ending after 14 years on the air. However, as most fans assumed, the famous family can’t keep themselves away from the cameras, and two months later, they announced a new show with Hulu. On December 31st, Hulu released a short teaser revealing all six Kardashian-Jenner women wishing fans a happy New Year. Then, about a month later, they released another teaser where Kendall Jenner warned fans that they have no idea what’s coming in the new show.
Other than the April 14th release date, not much else about the show has been revealed. Since being off the air, the family has had a whirlwind of drama and certainly enough for some interesting storylines on the show. Kourtney announced her engagement to Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, Tristan Thompson once again cheated on Khloé, Kanye has taken his divorce drama with Kim public, and Kylie welcomed a new baby–after boyfriend, Travis Scott was involved in a series of injuries and deaths at his Astroworld Festival in November 2021. Fans are dying for the inside scoop on everything that’s been going on in the Kardashian-Jenner world, and the new show just might give them all the answers they’re seeking.
Hulu released the trailer on February 21 and it certainly gives fans an idea of what topics will be touched upon. The trailer, posted to Instagram by Kardashian fan account kardashianvideo, boldly proclaims, “The Kardashians are back in business.” Various clips flash rapidly on the screen, like the glamorous interior of Kylie Cosmetics headquarters and Kim dressed in her pink SNL outfits, suggesting fans may get a look inside her new relationship with Pete Davidson. Most crucial for fans of Kourtney and Travis, the pair frequently appear in the trailer.
While Pete is nowhere in sight, Travis appears multiple times throughout the trailer, with Kourtney cheering him on in one scene as he plays the drums. Towards the end of the trailer, the family is seemingly celebrating the pair’s engagement, which has brought Kardashian-Jenner matriarch Kris Jenner to tears. Kim even takes an opportunity to poke fun at herself and her failed marriage attempts. Upon seeing Kris cry, Kim jokes, “she’s never had a reaction like that for me, and it’s happened like a few times.“
It seems like the family isn’t holding back with their new show, and fans will get everything they’ve hoped for. In the past, the famous family has been extremely candid on their show and it seems like this time around isn’t any different. While there was no sign of Kanye or any of Kris’ grandchildren in the trailer, it’s hard to believe Kim’s divorce drama would be left out. After all, this was only the first trailer, and there are likely many more The Kardashians teasers to come before the being premiere.
The Kardashians premieres April 14th exclusively on Hulu.
