The Golden Bachelor is currently filming its debut season, and one of Gerry Turner’s hometown dates, along with the name of a contestant, has been revealed. Gerry is finding love again at 71 years old after his late wife Toni Turner sadly passed away in 2017. On The Golden Bachelor, he will be meeting women from all over the country who are hoping to receive his Final Rose at the end of the season.
According to Reality Steve, Gerry was recently spotted on a hometown date while filming his season of The Golden Bachelor. On Monday, he was in Minnesota for one of his hometown dates, which means that one of his final four contestants is likely from that state. This could be confirmed when the cast list comes out. Gerry was in another city on Saturday for a different date, but the location is unknown. It was also leaked that one of the contestants from Gerry’s season of The Golden Bachelor is retired baseball player Dickie Noles’ ex-wife, Susan.
What To Expect From The Golden Bachelor
The Golden Bachelor will be a different type of viewing experience for long-time Bachelor Nation fans. Instead of filming the show for seven weeks like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette seasons, The Golden Bachelor will have a faster process and only film for three weeks. The producers of the show could’ve decided to shorten the filming duration because Gerry is older and already knows what he wants in a future life partner.
When Gerry’s season of The Golden Bachelor airs, it will be exciting to see whether it’s similar to previous seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, or different. Since the original series tends to be repetitive with its format and doesn’t have a great success rate anymore, The Golden Bachelor could be a nice change of pace. Having a more experienced lead like Gerry who is aware of what he’s looking for in a potential wife could mean that he might actually stay together with the woman he chooses.
Gerry seems to be making the most of his time on The Golden Bachelor by getting to know the women and going on dates with them. Since he’s already at the hometown dates stage of his journey, it’s a sign that filming is going well for him. This means that Gerry found his final group of women that he’s interested in and might choose one of them to propose to or pursue a relationship with after the show is over.
