The Exorcist: Believer has stunts that could top scenes from the original. Releasing 50 years after The Exorcist’s 1973 debut, this David Gordon Green-directed remake follows the families of two girls who must undergo exorcism after becoming possessed. The Exorcist: Believer cast includes Ellen Burstyn, Jennifer Nettles, Ann Dowd, Leslie Odom Jr., Olivia O’Neill, and Lidya Jewett, and is set for release on October 6.
As per Total Film (via Games Radar), The Exorcist: Believer will feature scenes that ramp up the stunt work from the original movie. According to stunt coordinator Ashley Rae Trisler, the scenes could rival 1973’s The Exorcist. Check out Trisler’s full quote below:
