The DCU’s First Team-Up Movie Gets Casting & Script Update From James Gunn

The Authority live-action movie gets a new DC Universe update by James Gunn in terms of its casting and writing process.

As Gunn’s Superman movie is currently rolling, DC Universe fans are eagerly wanting updates on the other DC movies and TV shows that are in the works. When asked by Threads user Fahim Mia when he would “cast the rest of the Authority members,” Gunn gave the following response:

We won’t green light a film until we have a finished script we’re happy with and, in general, we won’t cast a film until the script is finished. This is why some projects are moving faster than anticipated and others more slowly. It’s always gonna be quality first no matter what.
