The Dark Knight Trilogy Almost Included This Other Iconic Batman Villain

Jonathan Nolan, who worked on The Dark Knight trilogy, reveals which DC villain from Batman’s rogues gallery was almost part of the franchise.

During a recent appearance on Happy, Sad, Confused, Nolan shared that The Riddler almost made his way into the iconic trilogy. But in the end, they opted not to use Edward Nygma, sharing the following reason:

I sort of started to play with ideas about The Riddler and what could be done with that character. But it did feel like it was close enough to the space of what we’d done with Heath [Ledger] that you really needed to…shift there.
