The Dark Knight Rises Gets Awesome Fan-Made Trailer

The sequel to the biggest comic book movie of all time has finally entered production, completing a few scenes in India and having already moved principal photography to Chicago. While all we have thus far outside of misleading casting announcements are a few revealing set photos, that’s not going to hinder the imagination and creativity of fans who want more.

Using parts of the epic scores from TRON: Legacy, Green Lantern and Batman Begins, and scenes from a variety of films, YouTube user Soylet Brak1 was able to stitch together a fun and exciting trailer for The Dark Knight Rises that fits with every casting announcement and bit of news we’ve heard about the film’s story.

From Catwoman and Bane, to a broken and beaten Batman, this teaser for The Dark Knight Rises covers it all, introducing viewers to new cast members Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Joseph-Gordon Levitt.

The scenes of Alfred in the hospital, a broken Bruce Wayne and Bane speaking about prison nail it, and the trailer’s epic moments work perfectly with the music selection and tone of what can expect from Batman 3, Nolan’s most ambitious film yet. See for yourself:

What do you think of this “teaser” of Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman movie and do you believe (the actual) The Dark Knight Rises will top The Dark Knight and its primary villain played to perfect by Heath Ledger?

Since we’re on the topic of appreciating fan-made work, here are a few posters you may or may not have seen:

Were you able to recognize all of the clips used for the mash-up? The trailer was derived using snippets of footage from Batman Begins, the Batman Legends fan-film, Bronson, Catwoman, Equilibrium, Inception, Iron man 2, Halloween, Harry Brown, Passengers, Public Enemies, Se7en, Terminator Salvation and Watchmen.

The Dark Knight Rises cast sees the return of Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Nestor Carbonell and Michael Caine along with franchise newcomers Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Burn Gorman, Diego Klattenhoff and Alon Aboutboul.
