The Cullen Family Cast Returning For ‘Breaking Dawn’

The Cullen Family Cast Returning For ‘Breaking Dawn’

Last week we reported on some rather unfortunate news (at least for Twilight fans) that some of the actors who portray the Cullen Family – Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene being singled out in particular – were causing some troubles for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The reason for this was one of the usual suspects: money.

Apparently the offer made to the actors in question – which was said to be as much as ten times what they made from the first Twilight – were deemed “offensive” because of how much money The Twilight Saga has pulled in (over $1.1. billion worldwide with just two movies – yowza!).

As a result of this holding out for money business, there were rumors that Summit Entertainment might even throw one of defiant actors out on the street, “to make a point.” However, those who were dreading the thought that any of the previously established Twilight actors wouldn’t return can breathe easy, as it appears all has been resolved and deals have been closed.

Official word comes from Summit itself that Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Ashley Greene (Alice), Kellan Lutz (Emmett), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Elizabeth Reaser (Esme) and Nikki Reed (Rosalie) will all return for Breaking Dawn. They will join the regular Twilight trio of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, as well as Billy Burke who plays Bella’s father, Charlie.

I guess when you throw enough money at actors kicking up a stink and they will settle down. Either that, or the actors decided to do what they should have done in the first place and accepted the offer that was 10 times what they made when they starred in the first Twilight.

I guess the actors previously causing trouble should count themselves lucky Summit didn’t follow though with their threat of replacement. They might have ended up like Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria in the first two Twilight movies but was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard over scheduling and (alleged) money conflicts.

Are you glad to see the actors who play the Cullen Family returning for Breaking Dawn? Did you expect (as I did) that at least one of them was going to be replaced?

Summit has still not officially decided whether or not to split The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn into two movies as previously reported. If film does get split, for now there are general release dates of November, 2011 for Part 1 and November, 2012 for Part 2.

If you can’t wait that long then The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters on June 30th, 2010. You can already pre-order your tickets at Fandango and Movie Tickets if you’re especially eager.
