The Crown Season 6 Part 1 Trailer: Princess Diana’s Final Days Dominate Netflix Show

The trailer for the next season of The Crown is here. The Netflix historical drama has followed the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II through various major periods of her life, with Claire Foy playing the monarch in her early years in seasons 1 and 2, followed by Olivia Colman taking over the role for the period between 1964 and 1990 in seasons 3 and 4. Season 5 debuted Imelda Staunton in the role, a performance that will carry over into the two-part season 6, which is the final season of the show.

Netflix has now debuted the official full-length trailer for The Crown season 6 part 1. Check it out below:

The trailer largely focuses on the final days of Princess Diana and her struggles maintaining her relationship with her children as well as being a tabloid icon following her split from the royal family, up until her death in a car accident in 1997. At that point, the perspective mostly switches back to Queen Elizabeth II and her struggle to be the “mother to the nation” during a supremely difficult time for her family.

More to come…
