The Circle season 5 continued the popular reality TV show with an exciting, brand-new twist that shook up the series. Viewers are used to twists throughout each season, but The Circle season 5’s twist was far more elaborate. As Netflix explained, “Officially called The Circle: Singles, [this season] will follow players who claim to be romantically available as they jockey for popularity with their sequestered co-stars.” Of course, in true The Circle fashion, honesty is optional. Some players told the truth about their relationship status, while others didn’t. If The Circle contestants pretend to be somebody other than who they are, they are under no obligation to be single in real life. This caused a lot of drama among the cast, but luckily, there was no real heartbreak.
The Circle Season 5 Premiere Date
The first four episodes of The Circle season 5 were dropped on Netflix on December 28, 2022, at 12 a.m. PST. Episodes 5-8 premiered on January 4, 2023, followed by episodes 9-12 on January 11 and the finale on January 18. While the singles-only twist was significant, the show’s structure remained the same as previous seasons.

Although some players are catfishes each season, the relationships developed between the contestants tend to be relatively genuine. The Circle season 5 cast included Brian Clark, Billie-Jean Blackett, Shubham Goel, Marvin Ach, Tom Houghton, Oliver Twixt, Brett Robinson, Xanthi Perdikomatis, Tasia Lesley, Raven Sutton, Paris McTizic, Chaz Lawery, and Samantha “Sam” Carmona. Brian, Shubham, Billie-Jean, and Tasia were catfishes, while Xanthi and Brett became catfishes after they were blocked. Sam won The Circle season 5 and received the $100,000 cash prize.
Will There Be Another Season Of The Circle?
There was a lot of flirtation in The Circle season 5, and after the show crowned a winner, it was clear that the series used the twist to create more drama. The reaction to The Circle‘s singles twist was mixed, but overall decent from people who enjoy the series. As for The Circle season 6, regardless of whether it features the singles twist, fans will be happy to know that Netflix has renewed the show. Though there’s very little information available about The Circle season 6, the show was rumored to be casting its new players in late May 2023.
