The Circle Season 4: The 10 Best Friendships

The Circle Season 4: The 10 Best Friendships

The Circle might only be halfway through the fourth season, but tensions are already running high, alliances are being formed, and plenty of parties are happening. From a roast battle with comedian Nikki Glaser to a toga-themed party with season 2 winner DeLeesa’s husband Trevor, it has been a wild ride.

While Trevor and new player Eversen only just joined the game and haven’t had the chance to connect directly with many of the players due to a massive data breach twist, the other players have already begun to bond in a big way.

Frank And Crissa

The Circle Season 4: The 10 Best Friendships

Frank and Crissa instantly formed a bond when they came into the game. Crissa noted that as soon as she saw Frank’s profile photo and smile, she could tell they would get along swimmingly. And they did.

While none of their conversations were particularly deep, Frank was visibly upset when Crissa was ranked at the bottom and eventually sent home by Yu Ling and Alyssa. Had she continued in the game, the pair might have created a strong alliance.

In a private conversation with these three, Yu Ling opened up about how she uses humor to mask pain when Crissa commented on how funny and entertaining she was. It was a testament to their closeness given that Yu Ling felt comfortable revealing these details.

The three were arguably the biggest jokers in the game, with each making everyone laugh with their witty comments and responses or projects during games and challenges. Despite coming from very different backgrounds, they managed to mesh well with one another. It’s no wonder former Harlem Globetrotters member Crissa, who was sent home second, has the most Instagram followers of all The Circle season 4 cast members.

Carol (John) And Alyssa

Carol, a.k.a. John, instantly gravitated to Alyssa given their shared Italian roots. John did exactly what his mom or a woman of her age might do and found that common ground, telling Alyssa that having her there made her feel like she was home. Alyssa agreed, stating the same.

The pair had interesting conversations, but also awkward ones when John, as Carol, started a private chat with Alyssa to get help for her sex life, given that Alyssa worked with a sex therapist. He cringed at every word and piece of advice, but the fact that they had that conversation made the two bond in an intimate way and helped convince Alyssa that maybe Carol was actually real.

Melanie And Emma

Melanie and Emma weren’t technically playing, only there for a limited time to fool the other players by catfishing as someone else to help them earn extra money for the prize pot. They were successful in their mission, largely thanks to their wonderful friendship.

They got to play together in the same apartment and behaved like old best friends, bickering over silly things like baking a cake or what to say in their replies. Fans loved seeing the two Spice Girls still so close, acting like sisters. Plus, they could rank among the best catfishes on The Circle thanks to their cleverly crafted messages that fooled the majority of the players.

Bru, Alyssa, And Yu Ling

Referring to themselves as “The Throuple,” they had a fun and flirty friendship, often chatting in private groups together. There were a lot of sexual innuendos thrown around, with Bru trying to cast some doubt about Nathan with Yu Ling and vice versa.

They adored one another and had the most fun conversations of everyone on the show. Chances are the three might keep in touch in real life as they seemed to mesh very well with one another and fed off the positive energy.

Alyssa And Yu Ling

Named as the second pair of influencers, Alyssa and Yu Ling hit it off from the beginning, loving each other’s outgoing and direct personalities and unique styles. They brought Bru into the mix as well, but the two girls were tight on their own, too.

They worked together to decide to send Crissa home, and loved talking about their lives, even opening up about personal details. It’s easy to picture the two as friends in real life once they get to meet in person at the finale.

Yu Ling And Nathan (Alex)

Yu Ling and Nathan had a flirtatious friendship, even though she did not know that it was Alex playing as a young man named Nathan, and that Alex, in real life, had a girlfriend. He did a great job coming across as the “frat boy” type, and Yu Ling was confused about whether the words were for real or just all in fun.

Nonetheless, the conversations often included sexual innuendos and comments about one another’s looks. But they always had great laughs together.

Rachel And Frank

Frank and Rachel had a wonderful heart-to-heart where Frank asked Rachel about her job ghost-hunting and how she got into it, and even opening up about the loss of his mother and how he felt her presence at times. He mentioned that he doesn’t talk about his mother often, so he obviously feels comfortable with Rachel. It is easily one of the most heartwarming quotes on The Circle.

The two got along well and even discussed meeting up in the real world to go on a ghost hunting expedition together, though Frank noted he would be terrified. They have an honest friendship and confirmed they would have one another’s backs through the game.

Bru And Nathan (Alex)

Bru and Nathan have a big brother, little brother relationship, even though Nathan is being played by Alex, who is actually much older than he is pretending to be. Most of their conversations center around the girls, particularly Yu Ling and Alyssa. They have the potential to have one of the best bromances on The Circle.

While Alex doesn’t necessarily feel comfortable talking about the ladies in the way he is, he feels it’s necessary in order to make him believable as the young man Nathan. No one seems suspicious about his true identity, and once Nathan was able to correctly guess the golf-related question that would have outed him as a catfish had he got it wrong, their friendship only got stronger.

Frank And Yu Ling

Yu Ling spoke to herself saying she would be upset if whoever had the anonymous data hack question for Frank was mean to him. Meanwhile, during the chain reaction antivirus software blocking, Frank chose to save Yu Ling.

Clearly, the two are very close and only bound to get closer as the show progresses through to the end. They both share a free-spirited, fun-loving attitude that makes every conversation positive and joyous in The Circle. So, it’s no surprise they would gravitate to one another.
