The Circle Season 1: What Happened To Seaburn ‘Rebecca’ Williams

As the most adorable and lovable catfish ever, Seaburn “Rebecca” Williams walked into the spotlight of The Circle season 1 and instantly became a fan-favorite. Before appearing on The Circle, which originally aired in January 2020, Seaburn had applied for as many as four other reality shows that were casting at the time. He was on a mission to be on TV, and Netflix was lucky enough to snag him for The Circle.

On the show, a group of strangers gets to know each other only through what they share via a voice-activated social media platform, which opens the door for people to set up catfish profiles in The Circle. In building relationships with the other players, the contestants compete to stay in the game and finish as the most popular player and the winner of the $100,000 prize. Seaburn was hands-down one of the best catfish of the entire franchise as he played the game as his then-girlfriend in real life, Rebecca.

Seaburn had never catfished anyone before the show, but on The Circle, he went as far as forging a friendship with The Circle season 1 winner Joey Sasso and developing a brother-sister relationship with Shubham Goel, which kept them both safe to the end. While Seaburn didn’t win, he made it far enough and fooled his cast members enough to get him to the final five in the game. As for real-life Rebecca, she was supportive of Seaburn using her image and persona to try and win the game.

Seaburn & Rebecca Broke Up After The Circle

Though Seaburn and Shubham remained incredibly close friends in real life, the same can’t be said of Seaburn and his then-girlfriend Rebecca. Unfortunately, Seaburn and Rebecca’s relationship didn’t last very long after he completed The Circle season 1. In an interview with S’More Date in 2020, Seaburn said that his “relationship with Rebecca ended for a lot of reasons.” He noted the challenge of dating in the public eye and said that they ultimately realized their relationship wasn’t as strong as it needed to be in order to survive. Despite the breakup, Seaburn thinks highly of Rebecca, calling her a “remarkable individual.

Since leaving the show, Seaburn has been active on Instagram, and his artistic career has blossomed. He bills himself as an artist, actor, DJ, and host personality, and fans can book him on Cameo. Most recently, he promoted various comedy shows and revealed acting projects he was a part of. He also posted photos and videos with fellow cast mates, most recently with author and The Circle season 2 contestant Lee Swift.

Overall, since competing in The Circle season 1, Seaburn has used his notoriety to the fullest. Even though the show was a factor in his relationship ending, he at least got to kick off his career in the entertainment industry. Who knows, maybe Seaburn will make a second return to The Circle in the future.
