Stuck in the Middle is one of the most underrated Disney Channel shows, and the Stuck in the Middle cast has gone on to become huge stars. The sitcom is about a big Latin American family and it primarily focuses on Harley, the middle child of seven kids, and how she survives living with a huge family where she’s often overlooked. The main cast of the Diaz family consists of nine actors who show off their superb talents, depicting characters who are wildly different from each other.
Unsurprisingly, the cast has gone on to do great things. The show was canceled too early, as it only lasted three seasons, but the Stuck in the Middle cast can be found in so many other shows and movies in a wide array of genres. From starring in the MCU to becoming a reigning scream queen of the horror movie genre, the cast has totally shed the Disney Channel perception audiences had of them.
Cerina Vincent – Suzy Diaz
Suzy (Cerina Vincent) is the overworked and stressed mom of seven who loves her kids but takes time to herself whenever she can to unload. She protects her family at all costs and tries her best to show every one of her children that they are seen and loved. Since her time on Stuck in the Middle, Vincent has continued acting, most notably in several direct-to-streaming and TV movies. Vincent plays Laura in Secrets in the Water, Jen in The Work Wife, and Melissa in My Daughter’s Psycho Best Friend. She also co-hosts the Raising Amazing podcast, where she interviews families and offers advice and encouragement to parents.
Joe Nieves – Tom Diaz
Tom Diaz (Joe Nieves) is the father of seven and husband to Suzy. He owns and runs a store on the dock selling bait, small boats, and other fishing and sailing gear. Tom adores his children but sometimes acts like one himself, and he’s seen as the easy-going parent but he steps up when he needs to. Since the Stuck in the Middle cast parted ways, Nieves has guest-starred in several shows, including Station 19, All Rise, Blue Bloods, and The Dropout. The actor also made an appearance on How I Met Your Father, reprising his role as Carl the bartender from How I Met Your Mother.
Ronni Hawk – Rachel Diaz
Rachel (Ronni Hawk) is the oldest sibling who tends to be stuck-up and obsessed with her appearance. But behind her entitled demeanor is a girl who loves her family and her relationship with her sisters. Hawk hasn’t appeared in many projects since the end of Stuck in the Middle, but one of her biggest and most notable roles is Olivia in one of Netflix’s best comedy series, On My Block. The actor also guest-starred in S.W.A.T. and Legacies.
Kayla Maisonet – Georgie Diaz
Georgie (Kayla Maisonet) is the second-born Diaz child, known for her energetic demeanor. The character has a lot of anxiety that she tries to release through playing basketball and exercising. Since leaving the Stuck in tThe Middle cast, Maisonet notably starred as Thelma in Girls Room and Izzy in Speechless, a ground-breaking show that follows a child with cerebral palsy. Maisonet has also guest-starred in single episodes of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Diary of a Future President. However, while she remains active on Instagram, she hasn’t had a role on TV or in a movie since 2021.
Isaak Presley – Ethan Diaz
Ethan Diaz (Isaak Presley) is the third-born child of the family, who has a strong connection with Harley. Ethan likes to engage in all kinds of art, from music to film to drawing. He tends to be a laid-back sibling who goes with the flow. Presley has gone on to perform in a variety of genres, and he continued to thrive in comedy with his roles in Fuller House and Hubie Halloween. He’s also tackled fantasy with Total Eclipse and drama with One Nation Under God. However, while he was memorable in those roles, Presley hasn’t had an acting credit since 2020.
Jenna Ortega – Harley Diaz
Harley (Jenna Ortega) is the middle child in her family. Harley has an inventive mind and the courage to take risks. She is often overlooked, but she’s the glue that holds the family together. Ortega is the most successful of the Stuck in the Middle cast and has quickly become one of the most in-demand Hollywood actors, starring in huge shows that have gained international attention, such as the Netflix series Wednesday. Ortega has earned a reputation as a bona fide scream queen for her horror movie roles, as she starred in X, has become the new face of the Scream franchise, and will star in the upcoming Beetlejuice 2.
Nicolas Bechtel – Lewie Diaz
Lewie Diaz (Nicolas Bechtel) is one-half of the twin duo in the show. He tends to be the mastermind behind all the wild ideas and antics he and his brother get into. After Stuck in the Middle, Bechtel has continued to act, as he played Jared in I Still Believe starring K.J. Apa and Britt Robinson, and Rory in the final episode of American Horror Stories season 1. He also starred in several episodes of General Hospital as a recurring character he’s played since 2013. However, his 2021 role in American Horror Stories is his most recent acting credit.
Malachi Barton – Beast Diaz
Malachi Barton plays the younger half of the twin duo, Beast Diaz. He and Lewie create mayhem in the Diaz household, something that has become a trope in Disney Channel shows. Barton has stuck to his Disney roots since Stuck in the Middle, starring in the remake of Under Wraps in 2021, and guest-starring in episodes of Bunk’d, Just Roll With It, and Elena of Avalor. The actor is also a part of Villains of Valley View, a Disney Channel series that premiered in 2022. Barton is also a voice actor, lending his talents to Fancy Nancy and playing a young Diego in Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
Ariana Greenblatt – Daphne Diaz
Daphne (Ariana Greenblatt), the youngest Diaz child, is very messy and pretty bossy at times. She often hustles her other siblings for money and sweets. Greenblatt has been thriving in Hollywood since parting ways with the Stuck in the Middle cast. She’s starred alongside Gina Rodriguez in Awake, Dylan O’Brien in Love And Monsters, and Josh Brolin in Avengers: Infinity War when she played a young Gamora. The young actor will also be joining Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the 2023 Barbie movie.
