The Boys: Every Confirmed Superhero Not In The Seven (So Far)

The Boys: Every Confirmed Superhero Not In The Seven (So Far)

Here’s every superhero confirmed to exist in The Boys that isn’t part of The Seven. Amazon Prime Video’s hit superhero TV show is based on the comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The Boys was incredibly well-received when season 1 launched in 2019 and Amazon renewed the show for a third season even before season 2 arrived. The show’s satirical take on superheroes infused with a corrupt corporate hierarchy allows The Boys to feature many super-powered individuals.

The main superheroes of The Boys are members of Vought International’s superteam, The Seven. They are the world’s most popular superhero team and led by Homelander, the show’s riff on Superman. The rest of the team includes Queen Maeve, Starlight, The Deep, A-Train, and Black Noir during season 1, while Translucent was a member before Hughie Campbell killed him. Season 2 is expanding the past and present of The Seven’s roster, though. Stormfront is joining the team to take Translucent’s spot and Lamplighter will make an appearance after only being mentioned in the first season.

Even with these main superheroes, the world of The Boys is filled with more heroes who aren’t part of The Seven. Since The Seven is The Boys‘ equivalent of the Avengers or Justice League, there are still other heroes who work alone or are part of other superteams. There are even those who got their powers (secretly from Vought’s Compound V) who didn’t become superheroes. But, there is a wide range of superheroes in The Boys who aren’t part of The Seven. Whether they’re part of Vought’s larger superhero initiative or members of other superteams, here’s a full list of the superheroes The Boys has introduced so far.

Mesmer

The Boys: Every Confirmed Superhero Not In The Seven (So Far)

Mesmer (Haley Joel Osment) is an original superhero created for The Boys. He was a member of the teenage superhero team Teenage Kix alongside A-Train when they were both younger. Mesmer has the ability to read the mind or see the past of anyone he touches. During season 1 of The Boys, Mesmer betrayed The Boys in the hope that giving their identities to Homelander would help make him a superhero again, as his career was torpedoed by misuse of his powers in the past.

Popclaw

Popclaw fights Billy Butcher and Mother's Milk inside her house

Popclaw (Brittany Allen) is a former superhero during season 1 of The Boys. Just like her comic counterpart, Popclaw was a member of Teenage Kix and gained popularity during that time. Her powers include retractable giant claws that come from her forearms. Her superhero career, and the film franchise that came with it, came to an end when she was photographed partying half-naked and high on drugs. Popclaw later dated her Teenage Kix teammate A-Train, but he killed her after she told The Boys about Compound V.

Nubian Prince

Nubian Prince is a superhero that is part of Vought’s system, despite not being a member of The Seven. Vought wants to put a specific hero in each city in America, and Nubian Prince is the hero fo Detroit during season 1 of The Boys. However, he is offered to Baltimore and eventually was transferred to Atlanta.

Gunpowder

The superhero Gunpowder was briefly featured in season 1 of The Boys. He is a member of Teenage Kix in the comics, but it is unconfirmed if that connection remained in the show. He gives Vought great support from the NRA and was shown discussing the Second Amendment on the news in an early episode.

Tek Knight

Tek Knight in The Boys

Tek Knight one of the original members of the superteam Payback in the comics, and he was name-dropped during season 1 of The Boys. He was responsible for breaking the back of a woman, who went to the same meeting as Hughie for people who had traumatic life events caused by Supers. Tek Knight doesn’t have any powers on his own but rather wears an advanced suit, similar to Iron Man, to make him a superhero. While his career in The Boys hasn’t been explored, his desire to have sex with anything leads to him being kicked out of Payback in the comics.

Crimson Countess

Crimson Countess was also name-dropped during season 1 of The Boys. Annie believed that Countess would get the open spot on The Seven instead of her. The comic version of Countess was a member of Payback and had heat-related powers. She had a romantic relationship with multiple members of the team, including Stormfront (who is a guy in the source material). Crimson Countess died in the comics at the hands of Billy Butcher after she attacked his dog.

Big Game

Big Game is the leader of the Teenage Kix in the comics. He was mentioned by Billy Butcher during season 1 of The Boys as someone he’d like to get a file of from the CIA. Big Game possesses superhuman strength and can fly in the comics too. The role he plays in The Boys has yet to be defined, but he very well could’ve remained the leader of Teenage Kix, working alongside A-Train, Popclaw, and Mesmer.

Shout Out

Shout Out is another member of the Teenage Kix from the comics who was mentioned during season 1 of The Boys. Butcher included him in the list of people he’d like files for from the CIA. His powers include flight and electrical abilities. While none of this has been shown in The Boys so far, it is expected that he served on Teenage Kix in the past. The comics saw Shout Out and Big Game have a romantic relationship, with Shout Out eventually leaving the team after he publically comes out as gay.

Drummer Boy

Season 1 of The Boys also confirmed the existence of Drummer Boy. Starlight mentions that she used to date him and that they were together for about a year. This happened in the comics when Drummer Boy and Starlight were part of the Young Americans superteam, which he was the leader of. Their relationship ended after Starlight caught him having sex with fellow Young Americans member Holy Mary, despite the team’s Christian morals.

These are just the superheroes that The Boys has confirmed so far. With season 2 rolling out, it is guaranteed that more superheroes will be introduced before too long who also are not part of The Seven. So, stay tuned to learn about the rest of the heroes the show confirms are running around in this universe.
