The Big Bang Theory Star Channels Raj Again While Reuniting With Co-Star In BTS Video

Kunal Nayyar steps back into the shoes of The Big Bang Theory ahead of his Night Court guest appearance. Almost five years since the Pasadena gang wrapped up their story, Raj is revisiting the role, albeit in a different and more fun capacity. Nayyar is set to make an appearance in NBC’s Night Court revival, which is starred and produced by his former The Big Bang Theory co-star, Melissa Rauch.

In a new Instagram post from Rauch, Nayyar slips back into his The Big Bang Theory role easily with a Raj greeting on the set of Night Court season 2. Watch the video below:

In the clip, Nayyar calls Rauch Bernadette, her The Big Bang Theory name. While they weren’t love interests in the nerd-centric sitcom, Night Court will introduce Nayyar as Martin Toddwallis, a world-renowned fashion designer who endeavors to make Abby Stone his next muse.

Will There Be A The Big Bang Theory Reunion?

This marks the first time that Nayyar and Rauch will work together again since The Big Bang Theory ended in 2019. That being said, they are not the first cast members of the CBS show to collaborate on the heels of the nerd-centric sitcom’s end. In 2022, Mayim Bialik and Simon Helberg worked together in the film As They Made Us. Elsewhere, Helberg and Bialik also participated in Young Sheldon as Howard and Amy, respectively, which is not only The Big Bang Theory‘s prequel, it’s also produced by Jim Parsons.

Since it is almost half a decade since The Big Bang Theory went off the air, there have been questions about a proper reunion with the complete cast. As exciting as it is to see these mini-collaborations, nothing can still beat seeing all of them together. There are theories that the ensemble will get together as part of the upcoming Young Sheldon finale, which will be inspired by the prequel’s tribute to its parent show when it ended with season 12. No clear indication that this is in the works, however.

Aside from its nerd-centric plot lines, The Big Bang Theory was also known for its many romances. However, not all of them were created equal.

Despite having been off the air for quite some time now, The Big Bang Theory remains at the forefront of the pop culture zeitgeist. It is consistently on TV due to reruns and it’s available on Max to stream. Finally, Young Sheldon keeps it relevant, and with a spinoff from Chuck Lorre in the works, it’s safe to say that there won’t be any scarcity of content from the universe. Still, it will be great if the core cast of the main show get together some time soon.
