The Best Supporting Cast Members From 90 Day Fiancé Season 9

The Best Supporting Cast Members From 90 Day Fiancé Season 9

90 Day Fiancé season 9 has received a few positive reviews from fans, with the majority being unimpressed with the new cast; however, many of the supporting cast got the ravest of reviews. While fans found some couples boring to watch, they felt that others had scripted storylines. Season 9 also had its fair share of villains, with fans finding Bilal Hazziez’s treatment of his fiancé Shaeeda Sween particularly difficult to watch. Emily Bieberly also made a poor impression on fans, as many quickly came to find her selfish after she kept Kobe from seeing their son, Koban, for a day after he arrived in the United States.

One of the least exciting couples for viewers to watch was Kara Bass and Guillermo Rojer. While fans adored Guillermo for his compassionate personality, they quickly became irritated with Kara, who clearly tried to control Guillermo and take charge of everything. As Kara often spoke about the six-year age gap between the couple, Guillermo felt that Kara was treating him as if he were a child. Fans also did not find Patrick Mendes or his fiancé Thaís Ramone to be any more amusing, nor were they entertained by 90 Day Fiancé returners Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre.

One couple that fans found particularly irritating was Jibri and Miona Bell, as halfway through the season, rumors surfaced that the two had already been married for quite some time. This led fans to believe that Jibri and Miona were faking their storyline for clout. Yve Arellano and Mohamed Abdelhamed weren’t any better, as many found it difficult to watch how Mohamed treated Yve, even going as far as to threaten her with finding another sponsor. While the couples this season may have fallen below par, there were several supporting cast members who made up for the slack.

Madeline (Emily’s Sister)

The Best Supporting Cast Members From 90 Day Fiancé Season 9

Madeline has been the voice of reason for Emily and a kind shoulder for Kobe to lean on all season long, and fans adore her. When Emily was first introduced on 90 Day Fiancé season 9, Madeline tells producers that while the two are polar opposites, they still manage to get along. The two could not be any more different, as Madeline comes across as very kind and understanding as opposed to Emily, who seems more ignorant. However, Madeline did not hesitate to call her sister out when she admitted that she had bought herself her own wedding ring, as she was unsure Kobe would buy her one to her standards. Madeline also supported Kobe when he went to buy Emily a ring, hugging and cheering with him when he picked one out. Of all the people in Emily’s family, Madeline has been the kindest to Kobe, with her and Emily’s parents automatically taking Emily’s side.

John (Patrick’s Brother)

90 Day Fiancé stars John Mendes, Patrick Mendes, and Thaís Ramone in a confessional

Although fans do not love the storyline between Patrick and Thaís, they find Patrick’s brother John to be a warm distraction during many of their 90 Day Fiancé segments. From the minute she arrives, Thaís seems determined to force John out of the house so that she and Patrick can live alone. John has no problem clapping back at Thaís, but it seems that he makes more of an effort to try to get along with her than she does with him. It is also evident that Patrick and John are very close; John cares for his brother and does not want him to get hurt. Patrick opened up about his relationship with John during his interviews, explaining that the two became close growing up as their family life was not always easy. The combination of his humor and compassion has made John quite the fan favorite this season.

Brandi (Jibri’s Bandmate)

90 Day Fiancé's Jirbri's bandmate Brandi

While Jibri and Miona have not fully managed to convince fans that their storyline is genuine, Jibri’s bandmate Brandi quickly gained respect for being mature during her brief time on 90 Day Fiancé season 9. Brandi is a member of the Black Serbs band along with Jibri and his best friend, Daveed. When the group met in Chicago to record a new album, Jibri and Daveed got into a physical altercation when they began to fight over how Miona had impacted Jibri’s career with the band. Brandi ultimately stepped in to put both men back in check, and fans were quick to applaud her for doing so. Brandi also accompanied Miona to help her shop for wedding dresses, as Miona did not have any other female friends or family to go with her. Although Brandi was closer with Jibri, she made an effort to befriend Miona and help her feel welcomed.

Tharan (Yve’s Son)

90 Day Fiancé's Mohamed with Yve's son Tharan

Although Yve and Mohamed’s 90 Day Fiancé scenes were often frustrating to watch, Yve’s sweet son Tharan provided some lightheartedness during their scenes. From the moment Yve is introduced, it is clear that she loves Tharan, explaining it never mattered to her that he had special needs. When Tharan meets Mohamed in person, he is delighted, telling Yve how cool it is that he is finally with them. While Mohamed and Yve do not get along at many points throughout the season, Mohamed’s close bond with Tharan is the one positive aspect about him. Mohamed knows how important Tharan is to Yve, and it is clear that even with his flaws, Mohamed cares for Tharan. At the end of the season, Tharan even participates in the wedding nuptials of Yve and Mohamed.

Janice (Ariela’s Mom)

90 Day Fiancé Ariela's mom Janice talking to the camera outside

90 Day Fiancé fans do not always love Ariela, but her mom Janice is a different story. From the moment Janice appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, she has served as a voice of reason for both Ariela and Biniyam throughout the struggles of their relationship. While Ariela is her daughter, Janice also acts as a mother figure for Biniyam as he lost both of his parents at a young age. Janice is often a fun distraction from Ariela and Biniyam’s arguments, even wearing funny patriotic glasses and making a welcome sign for Biniyam when he landed in the United States for the first time. Janice is very dedicated to making sure Ariela and Biniyam work out as a couple, even helping them settle into a two-bedroom apartment. She is also very supportive of Biniyam’s ventures, such as showing up to support him for Ethiopian New Year and his first MMA fight.
